An extraordinary adventure to Normandy and the past!

The tour was exceptional from start to finish! Jozef was the driver, the professor, the historian, the guide to fine dining , all the while keeping us entertained with great stories of the past and human anecdotes not found in the books! He recommended great places for lunch and a wonderful hotel in Bayeux Lion d Or! When it rained he altered the plans to account for the unfortunate weather and we toured Rouen where Joan of Arc was burned . Also toured a magnificent cathedral. In all the two days we spent together were extraordinary and worth every bit of the fee! Julie Bates and family

A Winning Team for your French Guided Tour

Jozef and his Private Tour team were the best choice we made for our Normandy area experience! Jozef is great with families and couples alike. It is an amazing experience when your guide is passionate about what they are showing you, and our guide Jozef was exactly that. Another great bonus is that Jozef is a level 2 sommelier which made learning about French wine, at the same time while exploring the area, a winning trip!

    A wonderful guide all around!

Jozef was a fantastic guide. Punctual, friendly, funny, and flexible - he adapted real-time to our needs and communicated very well with us both before and during the trip. My husband and I traveled with my 82 year-old mother who had some mobility issues, and he took great care of her. He was also extremely knowledgeable. In addition to the D-Day sites, we also visited Giverny and Rouen. He was great - I don't have any complaints. I'd highly recommend him, a 10/10.

Memorable 2 day tour of Normandy

We just returned from a 2 day private tour of Normandy with Private Trip. We were a group of 6 and were picked up by Jozef at our hotel in Paris. From there he took us to Mont-Saint-Michel, and then on to the D-Day sites. From start to finish the tour with Jozef was everything we could have asked for. He was informative, accommodating, personable and he took great care of us over the full 2 days. We would highly recommend using Jozef and his wife Deborah, as the entire process from beginning to end was flawless!! The highlight of our 2 days was the visit to Pointe-du-Hoc as somehow Jozef managed to get us there before the crowds of people arrived taking over the site as we were leaving. It was wonderful having that memorable place to ourselves, even if it was only for 15-20 minutes. Thanks again Deborah and Jozef!! Dennis

    Normandy Expert. Best guide ever!

Absolutely fantastic tour! We took the pick up from Paris, two day Normandy tour of Mont St Michel, the D-Day beaches and battlefields. The trip with Jozef as our guide was outstanding. His deep knowledge of both the medieval and WW2 history of the region saw us soak up all his fabulous stories and anecdotes at each location. He is a natural storyteller and so warm and cheerful. No dull history professor delivery on this tour! His local knowledge also saw us skip queues, find unique spots hidden off the beaten track and get lunch and dinner seats at busy restaurants ahead of the crowd! If you want to tailor your trip to meet your interests or focus more on certain things then Jozef is your guy. The 8 seater van is modern clean and super comfortable so travelling across the two days was very easy. I can’t recommend him and this tour company any higher. We will definitely be touring with them on our next trip back. They definitely go the extra mile for their customers.

Two Days Private Tour to Normandy from Paris: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.

How much does Two Days Private Tour to Normandy from Paris cost?

    +

Prices start at $3799 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Two Days Private Tour to Normandy from Paris take?

    +

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.

Is Two Days Private Tour to Normandy from Paris worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Two Days Private Tour to Normandy from Paris?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Two Days Private Tour to Normandy from Paris suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Two Days Private Tour to Normandy from Paris?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Two Days Private Tour to Normandy from Paris start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Paris?

    +

Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

    +

April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Paris?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
