Cenote, Tulum Ruins and jungle tour

We had the most amazing day with Niko - what a great guide! Full of knowledge, fiexible and just a great person to get to hang out with for a day. He went above and beyond to accommodate us and took us to the most delicious, and interesting, spot for lunch (we have veggie/vegan diets). We cant recommend Niko highly enough!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful feedback! Niko will be thrilled to know he helped make your day so memorable. We love hearing when our guides can adapt the experience to guests' interests and needs, and finding great local food options is always part of the adventure. It was our pleasure to share the day with you, and we truly appreciate your recommendation.

Joseline will be very happy to know her efforts made your experience smooth and enjoyable. We’re also glad the lunch options suited your needs. Hope to have you back with us again!

    Cheers to Tania

Tania did an amazing job! Wonderful tour guide! She was excited to show us the Mayan culture and answered all of our questions. Tania was so engaging, other tours stopped to listen to her. She timed everything so well, no rush and avoided the crowds, and zip lined all over beautiful Cenotes. Amazing Experience!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We’re so pleased to hear that Tania made such a strong impression and brought Mayan culture to life with her enthusiasm and knowledge. It’s great to know that she answered all your questions, kept a perfect pace throughout the day, and thoughtfully avoided the crowds so you could fully enjoy each moment. Exploring the cenotes and zip lining in such beautiful settings makes the experience even more special. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to see you again for another amazing adventure.

Mexico Kan Tours: Excellent authentic and reliable tours with great guides

Mexico Kan Tours is one of our favorite tour operators, not just in Mexico but in all of our travels! We booked three separate tours with Mexico Kan Tours across multiple days, each with different tour guides and drivers, so we have ample experience with them and can vouch for the consistency and reliability of their service. Their tour guides were knowledgable about the local history, culture, and nature. All of our tour guides were passionate and enthusiastic and enjoyed their jobs. They showed a respect and reverence for the ecosystem and community that they lived in. They follow all the local rules and regulations (no plastic bottles, no contaminents, etc). Their drivers were safe and extremely polite, always opening doors for us and helping with errands. Mexico Kan Tours' itineraries are high quality and they only go to the best sites. They avoid crowded and touristy areas and took us to some real hidden gems. They seem to be very selective in the places they visit and the partners they work with. They even knew where to get authentic and high quality local souvenirs. Their lunch options were excellent. We are very selective eaters who prefer non-tourist spots that locals eat at. Frankly, we have unreasonably high standards for foods which tour operators rarely meet, so we were impressed that all three of the lunches we had with Mexico Kan Tours were great. They are well equipped, adaptive, prepared for anything. They have all the necessary gear and safety equipment for all activities. Their water gear (snorkels, masks) is new and from Cressi, a reputable brand. They provide reusable aluminum water bottles, bananas, and these excellent seed granola bars made by a local baker (they were so good multiple people asked for the recipe). Their vans and vehicles are newer models and quite comfortable. When making plans with Mexico Kan Tours, they are flexible and responsive. We booked some things on very short notice, including some custom private tours and extensions. Their office staff always responded the same day that we reached out. On one occasion, we contacted them at around 4PM about adding an extension for the next day, and they were able to accomodate us. We were informed of the exact pickup times the night before and they arrived promptly at those times. The tours ended at the specified time. Their prices were reasonable and competitive for the area. We felt it was a great value for the quality of service we received. We booked these tours with them, staying in Tulum town in early November 2025: - Cenote Adventure (with Macarena): Our favorite part of the trip! Macarena's excitement and love for the water made this an amazing experience. - Private tour of Chichen Itz (with Alfonso): Alfonso's deep knowledge of Mexican history and culture made the drive fly by! - Tulum Ruins and 3 Cenotes Jungle Adventure + private reef snorkeling (with Miguel): Miguel's kind nature and expertise made the day great - and we got to meet a nurse shark face to face!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your incredibly detailed and heartfelt review! We are truly honored to be considered one of your favorite tour operators—not just in Mexico, but across all your travels. Your feedback means the world to us, and we’re thrilled that your experiences with Mexico Kan Tours were so consistently outstanding.Your recommendation is the highest compliment we could receive. We’re so grateful for your trust and hope to welcome you back for more incredible adventures in the future!

    Incredible Experience!

This was one of our favorite tours. We got to see the ruins, zipline, canoe, and swim in incredibly beautiful cenotes. Aurelio and Paloma were such a great team, and they made the tour very fun and special. Paloma had so much knowledge about everything we did, and she was very kind and fun. The lunch at the end is also delicious! We can't recommend this tour highly enough. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your glowing review! We’re overjoyed to hear that this tour became one of your favorites—packed with ruins, ziplining, canoeing, and swimming in stunning cenotes. Aurelio and Paloma truly sound like an amazing team, and we’re thrilled that Paloma’s knowledge, kindness, and fun energy made the experience so special. The delicious lunch at the end was the perfect finishing touch! Your high recommendation means everything to us. Thank you for letting us be part of your wonderful adventure !

Tulum Ruins and 3 Cenotes - Jungle Adventure: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.

How much does Tulum Ruins and 3 Cenotes - Jungle Adventure cost?

    +

Prices start at $184 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tulum Ruins and 3 Cenotes - Jungle Adventure take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.

Is Tulum Ruins and 3 Cenotes - Jungle Adventure worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 113 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tulum Ruins and 3 Cenotes - Jungle Adventure?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tulum Ruins and 3 Cenotes - Jungle Adventure suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tulum Ruins and 3 Cenotes - Jungle Adventure?

    +

Around 40 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tulum Ruins and 3 Cenotes - Jungle Adventure start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tulum?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tulum?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tulum?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
