Second time visiting Tulum, second time diving with Mexidivers.
Audibled from reefs to Cenotes because of the weather. Both dives were brilliant. Casa Cenote we saw Panchito the crocodile (he has grown bigger!) and Cenote Tankah had a beautiful underwater lily pad garden and brilliant caverns. Both very enjoyable. Alex is the man.
Response from the operator: Hi, So good to have you back with us again — that means a lot 🫶🏼 Sometimes the ocean makes the call, and switching from reef to cenotes turns into something even more special. Casa Cenote with Panchito is always a moment, and yes… he keeps growing 😄 Navals lily pads and caverns have a magic of their own too. Alex will be very happy to hear this — we’ll pass it on. Thanks again for diving with us, and we’ll be here for round three. — Mexidivers Team

Fun and safe
Mexidivers & Marcelo were top notch! Unfortunately, when I was there, it was a red flag day as it was too windy, but we went to car wash and Dreamgate Cenotes. I was disappointed about the reef dives being canceled, but absolutely loved these two dives. And Marcelo was absolutely amazing. He definitely made the experience top notch. And being solo they provided transport. That was my biggest concern with safety and they had a wonderful driver come and pick me up. I would highly recommend this company and know that it is fun and safe.

Awesome reef dives in Tulum
Super time with Mexidivers in Tulum. Sebastien is an attentive, safe, and joyfully friendly dive master. Captain Erwin made the most of the choppy conditions on the surface. A HUGE loggerhead turtle swam right thru our small group. Sebastien spotted a shy but large octopus. 30’ visibility wasn’t great, a lot of seaweed up top. Mexidiver’s boats are on the small side - but all the rest was 5 stars!
Response from the operator: Hi, Thank you for the kind words. We’re very happy you had a great time with us. Sebastien will be glad to hear this — he truly loves what he does. And Captain Erwin always does his best to work with the conditions we’re given. The ocean doesn’t always cooperate, but moments like a huge loggerhead cruising right through and spotting a shy octopus make it special. We appreciate the honest notes as well. It means a lot to us. Hope to see you back in the water soon. — Mexidivers Team

Reef Dives
Everything was smooth and efficient. Guide was great. Nothing I would suggest to be done differently:) Reef had plenty of fish. Couple Rays, big schools etc.
Response from the operator: Gracias ❤️🤙🏼

Excellent
Ramon was an excellent dive instructor and Edwin a great captain. I was nervous how it would go after only doing one prior dive, but they made the discovery dive a safe and fun experience. This was great even as a beginner diver.
Response from the operator: Thanks for your feedback and for choosing us. We are so happy you had a great first experience. see you next time

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tulum Diving (Reef) 2 Tanks: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.
How much does Tulum Diving (Reef) 2 Tanks cost?
+
Prices start at $3200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tulum Diving (Reef) 2 Tanks take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.
Is Tulum Diving (Reef) 2 Tanks worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 43 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tulum Diving (Reef) 2 Tanks?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tulum Diving (Reef) 2 Tanks suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Tulum Diving (Reef) 2 Tanks?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tulum Diving (Reef) 2 Tanks start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tulum?
+
On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tulum?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tulum?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
