great experience
Fantastic tour. Great to have a private tour of the ruins, and to see the more real parts of tulum. And the swimming in the cenote was fantastic.
Response from the operator: We're so happy you enjoyed exploring Tulum with us! Having the chance to discover both the archaeological site and some of the more authentic sides of the town is something we love sharing with our guests. And of course, cooling off in the cenote is always a highlight. Thank you for taking the time to leave this lovely review!

nice local experience
Iber was a great guide. We really enjoyed the Mayan ruins and the knowledge he shared. The tacos were good!! Nice flat bike route to and from the ruins w a few light hills. Beginners can def do this! Side note: It gets really hot out here and I almost suffered a heat stroke and couldnt continue the tour to the cenotes. FYI, you cant bring plastic bottles into the Mayan ruins so I recommend snacking before the tour and bringing extra water in metal bottles. Their water provided is not cold enough imo.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience and for highlighting Iber's knowledge and enthusiasm. We're glad you enjoyed learning about the Mayan ruins, the bike ride, and the well-deserved tacos along the way! We also sincerely appreciate your comments regarding the heat. The climate in this region can be very intense, especially during certain times of the year, and staying hydrated is essential. The restrictions on single-use plastic bottles inside the archaeological zone are established by the site authorities, but your suggestions about bringing water in reusable containers and preparing for the weather are very helpful for future travelers. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope you're feeling much better after your visit.

Excellent tour
My partner Jose and I greatly enjoyed the bike tour with Joseline today. The tour of the Myan city was fascinating and fun. Lunch was delicious. The visit to the Ceronota was refreshing and made the last leg of the cycling a breeze. I cycle frequently, but my partner is not as confident on a bike. The bikes were well maintained and Joseline made sure the pace was geared to all participants. Highly recommended 👌!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're delighted to hear that you and your partner had such a great time on the tour. Joseline will be very happy to know she helped make the experience enjoyable and accessible for everyone. We appreciate your recommendation!

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tulum Bike Tour - Mayan Ruins & Tacos + optional Cenote Swim: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.
How much does Tulum Bike Tour - Mayan Ruins & Tacos + optional Cenote Swim cost?
+
Prices start at $109 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tulum Bike Tour - Mayan Ruins & Tacos + optional Cenote Swim take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.
Is Tulum Bike Tour - Mayan Ruins & Tacos + optional Cenote Swim worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 108 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tulum Bike Tour - Mayan Ruins & Tacos + optional Cenote Swim?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tulum Bike Tour - Mayan Ruins & Tacos + optional Cenote Swim suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tulum Bike Tour - Mayan Ruins & Tacos + optional Cenote Swim?
+
Around 38 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tulum Bike Tour - Mayan Ruins & Tacos + optional Cenote Swim start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tulum?
+
On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tulum?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tulum?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
