What you get

    About this experience

Abades is a local village on the east coast of the island, away from the tourist area. This makes it a quiet area, with a quiet, sandy, natural beach. Since fishing is forbidden here and there isn´t much movement at the surface, like swimmers and boat traffic, the ocean here is full of life which you´ll find close to shore.  Our dive spots are easily accessible from this beach, which we find a minute walk away from our dive center.  If you'd like to eat or drink anything after your dive, you´ll find small restaurants with outside terraces and a supermarket directly on the cozy square in front of our center.  Non-divers will enjoy the beach or snorkeling spots.

    Top diving school! Definitely recommended

The very best diving school in Tenerife. I had never dived before, we went with a Dutch instructor. Very good explanation and a beautiful underwater world! Very relaxed and take all the time for you. The pictures were beautiful. A beautiful memory

Response from the operator: Hoi Elianne, dank je wel voor je woorden. Super dat jullie het zo gaaf gehad hebben. Ik hoop dat jullie je brevet gaan halen zoals gepland en dan wie weet zien we elkaar weer terug onder water :)

    The Dream Team

We had a wonderful weeks Diving, with Cindy,Gi-Gi and Katarina the dream team . It had been 5 years since my last dive, so I needed a wee refresher so Cindy and her fantastic team took special care of me . This was also the first time I was able to dive with my son as a Dive Master which made this trip extra special. We have visited Abades for over 20 years now , and done all of our courses with Cindy and her team over the years and Dived many different sites on the island. Thanks you all for adding this special week to our memories. The mad Scotsmen

Response from the operator: Dear Scotsmen, thank you so much for your sweet words !! The pleasure was all ours !! Always great to have you guys around, as well on land as in the water :) We hope to see you soon. A big hug from the Dream Team ;)

    Don't go, don't go

TripAdvisor accepted my application and sold me tickets. I showed up 15 minutes early and filled out the medical form and the purveyor said they would not do the service because I did not have a medical group release. I did not see a medical release and it was not required to buy tickets. They were rude and unresponsive. They let me sit and wait a half an hour before discussion.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your feedback. We understand your disappointment, since your idea was to go diving on the day. Safety always comes first though and your health is the most important thing to us. Unfortunately you take medications that would allow you to go diving only with a medical clearance from a doctor. Again, your safely comes first and who are we to put you at risk. To avoid disappointment and prepare our divers, you'll find all this information about diving with medical conditions written out on the reservation page of TripAdvisor , to know before making a booking. TripAdvisor's team can't know about your medical situation, this is a persons own responsibility, the information is given clearly upfront and therefore your reservation was approved. In the half an hour you decided to sit outside our divecenter on the day, you probably remember us making an effort talking to you , offering you snorkling equipment, showing you the information mentioned on TripAdvisor 's reservation page, but you decided to ran off. We hope to meet again in the future, so we can show you our beautiful bay full of life.

    Beautiful underwater world in Tenerife

What a great day! Super nice staff, great explanation and very good quality gear. The staff was really helpful and caring. I traveled with 2 young children and could enjoy the experience due to the assistance of the staff. Nederlandstalige begeleiding aanwezig. Cindy heel erg bedankt voor de gave dag. Volgende keer Tenerife gaan we weer met jou mee.

Response from the operator: Hoi Marlies, alles goed? Onwijs bedankt voor je positieve review :) Dan zien wij elkaar in de toekomst vast nog wel eens, gezellig!

Great experience especially for the first time scuba diving!

This was my first time going scuba diving. I’m really not the strongest swimmer, either. I felt very safe with the instructors. A proper safety briefing was provided before the dive, and consistent checks were made throughout the dive to ensure everyone was comfortable and safe. They’re also quite entertaining! Scuba diving with Zeus Dive Centre is a great experience, it’s a bit nerve-wracking for someone who isn’t comfortable in water but again, I emphasise the amazing attention to safety and how the instructors helped keep everyone comfortable. If at any point anybody felt the slightest bit uncomfortable, they could tell instantly and made sure to check everything was fine. Some really good photos and videos were taken, with proper effort made to ensure every part of the experience was taken. At 20eur for photos/videos of the whole group underwater, it’s also great value. Honestly, thank you so much for the great experience!

Response from the operator: Hi Kevin, thanks a lot for joining us and your very kind words! Good to hear you had such a great experience . I hope you´ll dive again in the future :)

Try Dive in Abades Bay with a private instructor: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.

How much does Try Dive in Abades Bay with a private instructor cost?

    +

Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Try Dive in Abades Bay with a private instructor take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.

Is Try Dive in Abades Bay with a private instructor worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Try Dive in Abades Bay with a private instructor?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Try Dive in Abades Bay with a private instructor suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Try Dive in Abades Bay with a private instructor?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Try Dive in Abades Bay with a private instructor start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tenerife?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tenerife?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tenerife?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
