Terrible Experience and Not Like A Boss

We were contacted immediately after booking the trip and all communication was good. Guide collected us at 9.15am as arranged and was a nice Mhong girl. Unfortunately she spoke very little English and clearly knew nothing about anywhere she was taking us, or could not share any knowledge due to no English. Not her fault but clearly the fault of the tour operator not caring at all about our (my daughter and I) experience. I texted him pretty much straight away and he finally decided he could send another guide. By then we’d met another couple of people on a private trip whose guide was fantastic - great English, very knowledgeable about the area, the tribes and the villages. We paid her and joined the tour and had a great day. The tour operator lied to Aviator and said he had cancelled the tour due to bad weather. A lie designed to deflect any blame - pathetic. He refunded our money which is the only good thing I can say.

Response from the operator: Dear sir We do appreciate your reviews. we are so sorry for the issue. The original tour guide got sick in the early morning, we were afraid that you did not felt comfortable if you meet sick people during there days, "it is Corona virus effected days" from China, but there is no Corona virus in Sapa and Hanoi or in Vietnam So we had to change another tour guide who could speak little English but still good enough to take u on the tour. We could not find out any tour guide at last minute. But you did not like the alternative tour guide, we immediately refunded all money back and we already explained everything for this and we do hope that you can understand this issue. Tripadvisor did not allow us to put the reason " no tour guide" We do appreciate your reviews ! Regards Dan Nguyen from Trekking Like A Boss

Beautiful, Simply Beautiful.

As an aged couple we were not too keen on a difficult hike. But to our pleasant surprise, it was a gentle trek downhill meaning it was suitable for all ages. The tour guide was extremely friendly and kind, pacing us on our slow trek down while pointing out interesting places of interest and fantastic photo spots. The villages were so quaint and beautiful, seemingly untouched by the rapid development of the surrounding areas, a perfect reflection of history and culture.

Amazing journey

Great hike, great exercise, great views. I have absolutely loved the journey around Sapa, viewing the small nice villages and speaking to the friendly villagers. The hike was relatively easy, with not too steep an incline. Tour guide was amazing, and she being from the village was extremely knowledgable with regards to the local sights. Highly recommended fuss free experience!

Spectacular views!

We did the trekking tour to Muong Hoa valley, Ta Van and Lao Chai village. The trekking tour was fantastic! We walked along the Muong Hoa valley and enjoyed spectacular views of Fansipan mountain, a terraced ricefield in Muong hoa valley. Lunch was included and bus was also included back to our hotel after the trekking tour. Recommend!

Trekking Like A Boss around Sapa with options: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Trekking Like A Boss around Sapa with options cost?

+

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Trekking Like A Boss around Sapa with options take?

+

Plan for about 24 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Trekking Like A Boss around Sapa with options worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Trekking Like A Boss around Sapa with options?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Trekking Like A Boss around Sapa with options suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 24-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Trekking Like A Boss around Sapa with options?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Trekking Like A Boss around Sapa with options start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

+

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
