Mike and Dzung made our trip like a adventure
My friend and I had a wonderful adventure with our guide Mike and our driver Dzung on a private 14 day trip (in a comfortable car) around the north of Vietnam. Ha Giang, Ba Be, Hanoi, Cat Ba was just some of the many places we visited. Mike and Dzung where so observant and they did make the trip effortless for us as they picked us up on the airport, showed us the lokal culture and customs, did changes to the program to fit for weather conditions, and facilitated for any food we wanted to try. The driver was very experienced and did allways drive with caution. We were impressed by his driving skills, especially in the jungle after heavy rain. Helen, the person planning the trip for us, made a great job with fitting as much as possible into the trip, and also helped with changes during the trip to fit our best interests. We really felt like we were part of the community, the way Mike and Dzung explained about their food customs during our dinners and lunches together. We laughed a lot together, and had a great time.
Response from the operator: Hi there! Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience! We are delighted to hear that Mike, Dzung and Helen made your journey so enjoyable. We will share your kind words with the team. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Vietnam :) Clémence, for Mr Linh's Adventures

Truly Exceptional Guides & Drivers (Above and Beyond in Every Way)
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 I cannot say enough good things about our amazing guides and drivers on this Vietnam trek. From start to finish, they were professional, thoughtful, hilarious, and deeply caring — the kind of team that makes a challenging, remote adventure feel completely safe and genuinely joyful. 🌿🇻🇳 John (Guide) and Nha (Sneider) (Guide) were absolutely outstanding. 🙌 They explained everything with incredible clarity and patience — from local culture and history to trail conditions and daily logistics — always in a way that was easy to understand and never overwhelming. They struck the perfect balance between being informative and keeping things light with humor and smiles. 😂📚 John, in particular, went way above and beyond anything I could have expected. 💙 At one point during the trek, he even helped me secure a machete for our jungle travel (yes, really 😄). And later — without hesitation — he arranged for two chargers I accidentally left behind at a homestay to be retrieved and delivered back to our original hotel. That level of care, follow-through, and responsibility is truly rare. 🔌✨ It showed how seriously he took making sure we were all taken care of 100%. Our drivers, Duy Diec and Bao, were equally incredible. 🚐👏 They handled long drives, rough roads, early mornings, and tight schedules with calm professionalism and good humor. I always felt completely safe, comfortable, and supported. They were punctual, kind, and clearly took pride in their work — which made a huge difference day after day. What really stood out to me was that this team didn’t just “do their jobs” — they genuinely cared. 💛 They watched out for everyone, anticipated needs before we even asked, and created an atmosphere of trust, laughter, and teamwork that made the entire trek unforgettable. If you are considering trekking in Vietnam, this is the team you want. They are world-class humans and professionals, and I am incredibly grateful for everything they did to make this experience so special. 🙏🌏 Thank you, John, Nha (Sneider), Duy Diec, and Bao — you are the absolute best. 🏆💙
Response from the operator: Hi Trevor! Thank you for this incredible review! It means so much to hear that John, Nha, Duy Diec and Bao made your 13-day trek feel safe, joyful and full of laughter, even through the remote trails and challenging roads. We will share your wonderful words with the entire team. They will be deeply touched to know that their care, humour and professionalism made this adventure so unforgettable :) Clémence, for Mr Linh’s Adventures

Walking in Northern Vietnam
We visited Vietnam in March, booking ahead with Mr Linh's adventures. Nha our guide was waiting at the airport as planned, and the company ensured all arrangements ran smoothly. Nha was an excellent guide, made us feel welcome and found additional sites for us to visit along the way. Our homestay at Mr Hung's was one of the trip highlights, a remote area but well worth the walk, accompanied by his dog Beau all the way. I would recommend the company to anyone thinking of visiting this beautiful country.
Response from the operator: Dear Simon, thank you so much for taking the time to post a review. You chose a great 16-day adventure through Northern Vietnam, we really enjoyed organising this tour! Homestays are a must-try when visiting these remote areas, the contact with the local ethnic minorities is so important to appreciate the beauty of Vietnam as a whole. We hope you will keep great memories of your experience, you are most welcome to come back anytime! Mr Linh's Adventures Team

Trekking on Vietnam's hidden trails 13 days 12 nights: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does Trekking on Vietnam's hidden trails 13 days 12 nights cost?
+
Prices start at $1,609 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Trekking on Vietnam's hidden trails 13 days 12 nights take?
+
Plan for about 312 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is Trekking on Vietnam's hidden trails 13 days 12 nights worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Trekking on Vietnam's hidden trails 13 days 12 nights?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Trekking on Vietnam's hidden trails 13 days 12 nights suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 312-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Trekking on Vietnam's hidden trails 13 days 12 nights?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 312-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Trekking on Vietnam's hidden trails 13 days 12 nights start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ha Giang Loop 3-Day Small Group - from Hanoi, (Group/Individual) HANOI STREET FOOD TOUR, Incense Village Quang Phu Cau, Hat Village and Hanoi City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
