    Amazing Class! Would recommend!

We had a wonderful time doing this online cooking class! Nancy was knowledgeable, helpful, interesting and kind throughout our class. She took time to understand our experience level to tailor the class to our skills. She also took time to get to know us, which was much appreciated. We all ended up with successful pizzas!! Be mindful that you do have the make the dough ahead of time, but it was very easy!

Response from the operator: Dear Kylie, Thank you so much for your kind review! We're thrilled to hear you had a wonderful online cooking class with Nancy and that everyone ended up with delicious deep-dish pizzas! She truly loves connecting with guests and sharing her expertise in a warm, personal way. And thank you for pointing out the dough prep - we’re glad it was easy to make! We hope to cook with you again on another Traveling Spoon experience soon, in person or online! 🍕

    Great evening!

My boyfriend and I (who are missing Illinois, having been unable to visit for over a year now) had a great evening making Chicago-style pizza with Nancy! We definitely are amateur cooks and Nancy walked us through the whole process for 90 minutes, giving us lots of helpful tips along the way. The recipes for the pizza, salad, and cookie cake were great and we definitely will be using them in the future! I also really enjoyed chatting with Nancy and the time passed by so quickly. Next time, we'll invite our family to join the class with us from around the country.

    Great Virtual Experience

Great virtual experience. I have taken a live deep dish pizza class in Chicago before in the past and was excited about making pizza at home but never got around to it. Figured I would take a class again as I was curious about the cooking difference in the oven at home. I really enjoyed the class, the pizza and brownies came out great. So happy I took this class and will now be making my own pizzas at home.

Traveling Spoon Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza Private Online Cooking Class: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chicago.

How much does Traveling Spoon Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza Private Online Cooking Class cost?

    +

Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chicago usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Traveling Spoon Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza Private Online Cooking Class take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chicago is not rushed.

Is Traveling Spoon Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza Private Online Cooking Class worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chicago, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Traveling Spoon Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza Private Online Cooking Class?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Traveling Spoon Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza Private Online Cooking Class suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Traveling Spoon Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza Private Online Cooking Class?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chicago can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chicago and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Traveling Spoon Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza Private Online Cooking Class start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chicago within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Chicago?

    +

Chicago's signature experience is still the architecture boat cruise, and the difference between the docent-led originals and the party-boat imitators is the single biggest quality gap in the city. Beyond the river: gangster history walks, Art Institute access, deep-dish and hot-dog crawls, and skydeck timed entry. Outty Ranking leans on guide credentials and how consistently the promised route runs. On Outty we rank every Chicago experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Original Chicago Architecture Interiors Tour: Dazzling Interiors, Chicago Murder Mystery Tour, Chicago Favorites Ultimate Food and Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Chicago?

    +

May to October. Winter cruises stop running when the river ices. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Chicago?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
