    Wonderful experience in Portugal

My wife and I had a wonderful experience in Portugal. We travel from Porto to Lisbon with an excellent guide such as Manuel López with a very good predisposition. We spent a great day with him touring Aveiro, Coimbra and Obidos who gave us all his knowledge and transmitted a lot of confidence. We would hire them again for our next tour of Portugal. Silvia and Pascual

Response from the operator: ¡Muchas gracias por su reseña, Silvia y Pascual! Walkborder Tours and Diogo: Magnificent

We are so thankful we decided to book our private transfers throughout Portugal with Hugo Goncalves' company, Walkborder Tours. We had the absolute pleasure of spending much of our time with our driver and guide DIOGO. Diogo was professional, friendly, kind, caring, and very knowledgeable. We were met at the airport in Lisbon and traveled to Porto with Hugo’s recommended stops at Óbidos and Aveiro. After our few days in Porto, we returned to Lisbon with stops at Coimbra (and the Joanina Library) and Fatima. Diogo went above and beyond to be sure we saw and enjoyed the sights. He also drove us back to the airport for our return flight. My only regret was not doing our research to learn that Walkborder is a full touring company in Portugal, not just a transport service. We would have surely booked our Duoro River Valley Tour and our tour to Sintra, Pena Palace, Cascais, etc., requesting Diogo as our driver and guide. It would have been a much more personalized tour. I highly recommend Walkborder for all travel and excursions within Portugal. It was a pleasure to correspond with Hugo and we are most grateful for our guide Diogo. I can not give enough praise. Thanks to Diogo and Walkborder, ours — a group of five older adults — was a most perfect vacation.

Response from the operator: Dear Richard What a wonderful review — thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! We’re truly delighted to know that your journey through Portugal was so memorable and that Diogo helped make it special. He’ll be very happy to hear your kind words — he’s indeed a fantastic guide and a true ambassador of our company’s spirit. It was a pleasure assisting you with your travels, and we’re genuinely grateful for your trust in Walkborder Tours. We’d be absolutely thrilled to welcome you back one day for your Douro Valley or Sintra tour — and of course, Diogo would be honored to be your guide again! Warmest regards,

Excellent and kind service, tours and transport

Hugo and his team are the ultimate professionals! As a solo traveler they made me feel comfortable, welcome and confident. I used Hugo's team to transport me from Lisbon to Douro valley, then to Porto , and then back to Lisbon again with a tour stop in Aveiro and finally my airport transfer. The Mercedes sedan is comfortable and clean. They are super reliable and very communicative and on time. I highly recommend Hugo and his excellent team and cannot wait to return to Portugal and use Walkborder for all my transport and tours.

Transfer from Porto to Lisbon with visits on the way: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.

How much does Transfer from Porto to Lisbon with visits on the way cost?

    +

Prices start at $130 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Transfer from Porto to Lisbon with visits on the way take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.

Is Transfer from Porto to Lisbon with visits on the way worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Transfer from Porto to Lisbon with visits on the way?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Transfer from Porto to Lisbon with visits on the way suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Transfer from Porto to Lisbon with visits on the way?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Transfer from Porto to Lisbon with visits on the way start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Porto?

    +

On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Porto?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Porto?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
