About this experience
I'm a passionate chef and I lead Soqueta. Soqueta is a gastronomic house, which seeks to divulge and promote Majorcan cuisine. It's an outgoing, street-level cuisine, because Soqueta wishes to be an easy, direct entrance to the way of being on the island and above all, to our gastronomy which is defining in our culture. I invite you to cook and enjoy the simplicity of sharing a table with the calm which characterizes the island. Everything revolves around an antique kitchen table which belonged to an old Majorcan farm-house, and which we are, all together, going to bring to life again.

From Market to Table – A Truly Special Day
We had an absolutely exceptional experience with Paula of Soqueta. From the moment we met at the Mercado d’Olivar in Palma, she opened up a world of insider knowledge—introducing us to hidden gems, passionate stallholders, and the finest produce Mallorca has to offer. We bought wonderful ingredients under her guidance, and the whole market tour felt like stepping into the heart of Mallorcan life. Afterwards, we went to her place where the magic truly began. Together, we cooked an array of authentic Mallorcan dishes, learning not only recipes but also the traditions and stories behind them. The food was delicious, the setting warm and welcoming, and Paula’s generosity of spirit made the entire day unforgettable. Paula is warm, generous, and makes the whole day fun and relaxed. It felt like spending time with a friend while discovering authentic Mallorca. Highly recommended!

Don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience!
Don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience! We spent half a day with the sweetest Poula, who taught us how to cook authentic Mallorcan food. Fresh ingredients, a warm and wonderful personality, and food that tasted absolutely heavenly. We can wholeheartedly recommend this cooking class! And just a tip – leave the car at home, because drinks are included… and there’s more where that came from 😉 Thank you for an amazing experience. – Kind regards, Mother & Daughter

Buenísimo!
Fantastic experience! Dropped a cake, ate some soprasada and drank some wine! Lovely host and good food! Order through her website if you want a market tour as well

Immerse yourself in Mallorcas way of life
If you’re looking for an authentic culinary adventure that takes you beyond the tourist experience and straight into the heart of Palma de Mallorca’s, this cooking class is an absolute must. From start to finish, it was a perfect blend of cultural immersion and hands-on cooking that left us with unforgettable memories—and some new favorite recipes! The recipes were carefully chosen to represent true Mallorcan home cooking—this wasn’t restaurant-style food; it was what real families make at home. Our instructor Paola”s passion was contagious. It was like having lunch with old friends, surrounded by the warmth and spirit of Mallorca. If you’re in Palma and want an experience that feels genuine, personal, and incredibly fulfilling, I couldn’t recommend this cooking class highly enough. It’s an experience that goes beyond just learning recipes—you get a true taste of life here, and a connection to this beautiful island that will stay with you long after you’ve gone.

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Traditional recipes cooking experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mallorca.
How much does Traditional recipes cooking experience cost?
+
Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mallorca usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Traditional recipes cooking experience take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mallorca is not rushed.
Is Traditional recipes cooking experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 34 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Mallorca, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Traditional recipes cooking experience?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Traditional recipes cooking experience suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Traditional recipes cooking experience?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mallorca can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mallorca and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Traditional recipes cooking experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mallorca within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mallorca?
+
On Outty we rank every Mallorca experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mallorca Full Day Tour Valldemossa Deià and Sóller Experience, Best Mallorca Coves: Paddle Surf, Snorkeling and Guide, 3 Hours E-Bike Tour in Palma. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mallorca?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mallorca?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
