About this experience
Paella: A Family Tradition Passed Down Through Generations Paella has been a very special ritual for my family since I was a child. Thanks to the advice and teachings of my grandmothers, I’ve been able to recreate the same dish that I now want to share with you. You’ll learn all the steps and secrets to making an exquisite Mallorcan paella. Traditionally, we make it with fish and seafood, but we can also prepare a vegetarian or meat version, depending on your preferences. The experience takes place in a magical village in the Tramuntana Mountains—Banyalbufar. My father settled here over 15 years ago to create what is now our home and our animals' home, which we call "Ca Tothom," meaning "The House of Everyone." The kitchen is located on the porch, and together with the garden, it creates an idyllic setting for cooking and sharing unforgettable moments.

Our Favorite Cultural Activity
Patri's paella cooking class was the best experience my partner and I have booked through viator. My only regret is we didn't schedule it for earlier in our trip, so that we could better use her knowledge and advice during our time on Mallorca. Thank you Patri for welcoming us into your home, we feel so grateful that you shared your little slice of Mallorcan life and culture with us.

We had such a wonderful...
We had such a wonderful experience at the paella-making class with Patri! She met us at an easy-to-find bus stop and began the experience with a lovely walking tour of the town, sharing interesting stories and history about Mallorca along the way. She was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and easy to connect with. The paella-making class itself was so much fun, and the finished paella was absolutely delicious! We also loved meeting her adorable chickens and cats. This was such a unique, personal, and memorable experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mallorca!

Cooking in the mountains
Great class, lovely town, and a wonderful way to spend a day away on vacation. We drove from our beach stay in Puerto Pollensa. It was a 75 minute drive but totally worth it. Highly recommend.

Cooking the way it should be done
The event is defined by the host. Patricia is amazing, great energy and positivity. Cooking paella in a cozy outdoor kitchen, having sangria and wine is also amazing of course. We learned a lot and then were rewarded by a fantastic meal of paella at the end.

Paella Day Adventure
This was my favorite thing we did in Mallorca! The property is charming with it's outdoor kitchen and picnic area and stunning views of the surrounding terraced mountains. Our teacher was enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge and culture with us and made the whole experience so much fun. We spent several hours chatting, eating, drinking and making paella of course (which was excellent!!). Definitely do this if you are visiting Mallorca!

Why this scores 79

Paella Day Cooking Class Savor the Tradition: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mallorca.
How much does Paella Day Cooking Class Savor the Tradition cost?
+
Prices start at $112 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mallorca usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Paella Day Cooking Class Savor the Tradition take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mallorca is not rushed.
Is Paella Day Cooking Class Savor the Tradition worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 43 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mallorca, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Paella Day Cooking Class Savor the Tradition?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Paella Day Cooking Class Savor the Tradition suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Paella Day Cooking Class Savor the Tradition?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mallorca can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mallorca and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Paella Day Cooking Class Savor the Tradition start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mallorca within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mallorca?
+
On Outty we rank every Mallorca experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mallorca Full Day Tour Valldemossa Deià and Sóller Experience, Best Mallorca Coves: Paddle Surf, Snorkeling and Guide, 3 Hours E-Bike Tour in Palma. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mallorca?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mallorca?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
