DO NOT GO.. its a big scam

Horrible experience.. basically a scam. You enter a small apartment that smells of urine and squished around the table with other families. You pay to make a few strands of pasta and less than 10 pieces of ravioli that you made mixed with butter. They could at least give us more than 100g of flour and 1 egg to make more pasta to feed ourselves... Seriously the most angering and disappointing experience, stay away at all costs. Its a big scam.... for the amount of money you pay you could get a fancy good meal in Italy and not be in a crammed in a hot stuffy creepy place. The lady was quite fake and her family was very sketchy and weird.

Response from the operator: Hi. So sorry about this review. We use 1 egg and 100 gr of flour in order to show to people they can do a lot with few ingredients. We feel that price you paid for a three course meal with a dessert including a course and all drinks might be right. Also considering the quality of our ingredients and that we are the cheapest experience available in bologna.

Wonderful experience in a genuine home kitchen!

Wow!! This is exactly the experience we were seeking. Pasta making class in a local home in Bologna. This is not a fancy class in a commercial kitchen - rather, it is a down to earth home kitchen with an expert pasta maker who does this for her family every day. She shared stories of how she learned to make pasta as a child, while showing our 2 & 6 year old children how to make their first pastas (tortellini, bowtie, and tagliatelle). Our son has a severe allergy to pistachio and cashew, and our host made sure every ingredient was confirmed safe. Made us feel very comfortable!! The pasta was delicious, and we shared the experience with some cool fellow travelers. It was fun to be in her home while her family went about their day. Her husband was our waiter, serving us local wine, along with still and sparkling water, while replacing our dishes and utensils with each meal. It was a better experience than some of the restaurants we visited. We highly recommend!!

    Amazing!

Can we give more than 5 stars? What an amazing experience for the family! Irene was the best. She valued families and teaching younger teens the art of cooking. The food was delicious and the other 3 families that were there were great! Highly recommend.

    Highlight of our Bologna trip

What a great experience. We had a wonderful evening at Irene's and Marco's place, learned a lot about making pasta, had a very tasty dinner, and just had a lot of fun. Absolutely recommended!
