Your tour manager from Memphis Tours will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, starting your Pyramid Tours visiting the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. The Pyramids Of Giza
One of history's most ancient and unsolved puzzles is the construction of the pyramids. Again and again, over the course of history, many scholars and scientists asked and wondered the same question of 'how the pyramids were built.' The Great Pyramids of Giza and the other pyramids, over 100 Egyptian pyramids, are considered the greatest pieces of human engineering and architecture. These monuments still strongly standing after over 4,500 years and are still a mystery unsolved to this day. Some scriptures found from Ancient Egyptians can help us to understand a bit better how the construction of such monuments has come about. These huge structures of limestone or mudbrick are the oldest known man-made structures on our planet

Great Sphinx
This kind of statues appeared for the first time in Egypt as scenes with two dimensional representations in the beginning of the dynastic period. However, the first representative of the king in the form of a sphinx was in the middle of the 4th dynasty. The first king who had a sphinx statue was King Djetef Ra, the successor of King Cheops, and it is considered as the 1st royal representation in the form of a sphinx. It was discovered nearby his pyramid at Abu-Rawash in El Giza and it is now kept in Louvre Museum.

Excellent planning & coordination
Marwa & her team of tour guides were outstanding. She was extremely accommodating to our group. We had late changes to our trip & she was able to make it all work. Each tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. It was critical to have them along. From Alexandria to Cairo & our Nile cruise, we had expertise to make the sites more impressive & educational. A special shout out to Azab who accompanied us on the Nile cruise. He was outstanding!

Exceptional experience in Giza/Cairo and on the Nile.
This is the second time I have used Memphis Tours for an Egypt visit with the highlight of Giza/Cairo and a Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan plus Abu Simbel. Marwa Samir does an exceptional job planning the trip and providing support and they are great value for money compared to the American alternatives for the same itinerary. Our guide on the Nile Cruise, Abdul Elhassany, deserves special mention he is an archeologist with two Masters degrees so added so much extra value with his extensive knowledge and great personality. Also Kerolos who looked after us in Giza/Cairo did an outstanding job. The Nile Cruise was on the Historia this time and the crew, the room and the overall experience were all at the elite level. I would highly recommend using Memphis Tours and the Historia if you plan going to Egypt.

Egypt being on our bucket list was made a seamless experience with Memphis tours; with special thanks to Amgad Fawzy.
It was recommended by my husband who had travelled Egypt last year with Memphis and was a satisfied traveller. We were also equally satisfied with all arrangements as well as prompt reverts for any query we had. We were received by our tour leader at Cairo Airport by Mr. Amgad Fawzy, who is an excellent communicator as well as amazing organiser. We would all like to thank him for all his support and his impeccable behaviour. We would also like to thank Sam, our guide who was very knowledgeable as well as a fine man to spend time with. Overall, a memorable experience

Pyramids, Egyptian Museum, and Coptic Cairo
We booked our entire Egypt trip through Memphis tours, we are well traveled and don’t usually use a tour company but many friends advised it was best for our trip to Egypt. This review is specifically for our tour in Cairo. We spent one day touring the Pyramids, Sphinx , and Saqqara, and one day at the Egyptian Museum and Coptic tour. Our guide was Ahmed Helal and he was fantastic. First and foremost he made us feel incredibly welcome in Egypt. His knowledge was impressive as well as his photography skills. We’re so happy we got to spend two days with him and would recommend him to anyone. I’d like to also thank Ahmed for answering all of my questions. I am interested in religions in general and he took the time to explain the Muslim religion to me in more detail, and this wasn’t part of our tour. If you’re going to Egypt I recommend you find Ahmed to guide you!

Tour to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Tour to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx cost?
+
Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tour to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Tour to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 43 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tour to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tour to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tour to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tour to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
