2. The Great Pyramid of Khufu

   The Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu), located in Giza, Egypt, is the largest of the three pyramids of Giza and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was built around 2600 BC as the tomb of Pharaoh Khufu, who ruled during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom. This pyramid is an iconic symbol of ancient Egyptian civilization and a testament to the architectural and engineering accomplishments of the time. The Great Pyramid of Cheops stands at a height of approximately 146 meters (481 feet) and held the record as the tallest man-made structure for thousands of years until the construction of the steeple of Old St. Paul’s Cathedral in London in 1221 CE. It consists of an estimated 2.3 million limestone blocks, each weighing an average of 2.5 to 15 tons. The precision and accuracy with which these massive stones were quarried, transported, and placed together is a remarkable feat of ancient engineering.

3. The Pyramid of Menkaure, also known as Mykerinos, is one of the three pyramids located at the Giza site near Cairo, Egypt[1]. It was built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom, around 2515 BC (though dating of Egyptian pyramids can be imprecise). It was constructed for Pharaoh Menkaure as his tomb. The Pyramid of Menkaure stands at approximately 65 meters (213 feet) tall, making it the smallest of the three pyramids at Giza. It is thought to have been built by the architect Hemon, who also worked on the nearby Pyramid of Khufu. The pyramid is made of limestone and was originally covered in smooth, polished Tura limestone. Much of this facing has since been removed, revealing the rougher inner layer of the pyramid. The pyramid has three smaller pyramids for the queen consorts, and a mortuary temple located adjacent to the pyramid.

4. Pyramid Complex of Khafre

   Khafre's Pyramid, also known as the Pyramid of Khafre or the Pyramid of Chefren, is one of the iconic pyramids located on the Giza Plateau in Egypt. It is the second largest pyramid and is believed to have been built as a burial tomb for Pharaoh Khafre, who was the fourth ruler of the Fourth Dynasty of Ancient Egypt. The Pyramid of Khafre stands at a height of approximately 136 meters (446 feet) and was constructed using limestone blocks. Although it is slightly smaller than the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops), it appears taller due to its location on higher ground. One of the distinguishing features of Khafre's Pyramid is the remaining casing stones at its apex, which contribute to its unique appearance. Some of the original casing stones made of highly polished white limestone can still be seen near the top of the structure.

5. Great Sphinx

   The Great Sphinx lies on the east side of the complex. Current consensus among Egyptologists is that the head of the Great Sphinx is that of Khafre. Along with these major monuments are a number of smaller satellite edifices, known as "queens" pyramids, causeways and valley pyramids .

6. Saqqara

   Saqqara: Saqqara is an extensive ancient burial ground located south of Cairo, near Memphis. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Memphis Necropolis. Saqqara is well-known for the Step Pyramid of Djoser, which is considered one of the earliest pyramid structures in Egypt. It was designed by the famous architect Imhotep and served as the burial complex for the pharaoh Djoser. Other royal tombs, mastabas (rectangular tombs), and temples can also be found at Saqqara.

7. Memphis and Sakkara

   Memphis: Memphis was the capital of ancient Egypt during the Old Kingdom (around 3100 BCE to 2180 BCE). It was a significant city and a political, cultural, and economic center. Today, the ancient site of Memphis is an open-air museum showcasing various ruins and artifacts. Visitors can explore the remains of temples, statues, and royal tombs. One of the highlights is the colossal statue of Ramses II, known as the Great Colossus of Memphis.

8. Dahshur is an ancient Egyptian pyramid complex and necropolis located near the village of Manshiyyat Dahshur, in the markaz (district) of Badrashin, Giza. It is often referred to as Dashur in English. Dahshur is home to several ancient pyramids, including the Pyramid of Djoser, also known as the Step Pyramid, which is considered one of the earliest pyramid structures in Egypt. It was built during the 27th century BCE for Pharaoh Djoser by his chief architect Imhotep. Another significant pyramid in Dahshur is the Red Pyramid, constructed by Pharaoh Sneferu, the founder of the Fourth Dynasty. It was the first successful attempt at constructing a true smooth-sided pyramid. Additionally, there is the Bent Pyramid, also built by Pharaoh Sneferu, known for its unique shape with a change in slope halfway up the structure. At the end of the Tour you will be transferred back to your Hotel

9. Mastaba of Ti

   The Mastaba of Ti is one of the most important archaeological sites of Saqqara. The mastaba was discovered by Auguste Mariette. The mastaba contains two serdabs. The walls of the tomb show various scenes of everyday life.

10. Pyramid of Unas

    Unas built his pyramid between the complexes of Sekhemket and Djoser, in North Saqqara. Anchored to the valley temple at a nearby lake, a long causeway was constructed to provide access to the pyramid site.

    The pyramid of Teti is a smooth-sided pyramid situated in the pyramid field at Saqqara in Egypt. It is the second known pyramid containing pyramid texts.
