Great way to spend a day in Jalisco

I highly recommend this tour! Daniel was an excellent tour guide and communicated well before the tour. He picked me up at a restaurant after breakfast as requested, which made my morning very relaxed knowing I didn’t need to find a meeting point. The tour was at a relaxed pace, so I didn’t feel like I was running around all day — I was shocked when I looked at my watch and realized the time because I wasn’t worn out. There were multiple opportunities to rest, including during the drives in a nice, air-conditioned van. Daniel provided lots of important information about Guadalajara and the towns we visited, adding to my appreciation of the culture and history of Mexico. We toured a small tequila distillery that was way better than doing a big, corporate company like Jose Cuervos. I appreciated the opportunity to get to learn about tequila (& Tequila the town) without having to be on one of the party tours since that’s not my speed and it was difficult to find tours that weren’t centered on drinking. Such a wonderful day—thank you, Daniel!

Believe all the other reviews! This is definitely the best Guadalajara tour!

There’s one thing that I would really like to say about this tour: All the 5-star reviews are accurate! Daniel has been such an amazing driver and tour guide to us! He was able to immerse us in the rich culture and history of Guachimontones and Tequila. If you ask me what’s my favourite part of the tour, I wouldn’t be able to give you a straight answer. Everything about it was perfect; from the pre-hispanic drinks we got to try from a local who was recognized by the University of Mexico for preserving the recipes from over 500 years ago, to having to try all kinds of Tequila and learning the proper technique to drinking it… my heart is sooo full and I feel blessed for having to choose this tour and experience. Daniel also mentioned that he limits the tourists to 7 pax per tour, so it felt very luxurious and personal. All in all, no words can describe just how much I would like to recommend this tour to everyone. If you’re thinking of going to Guadalajara, book this tour. You won’t regret it. 🙏🏼

Response from the operator: My heart is full, your words make me feel proud. The best for you always

    Pyramid & Tequila Tour

It was a great combination of seeing the countryside, visiting the pyramids & then one tequila distillery! Our guide Daniel was so personable, professional & dynamic. He was outstandingly knowledgeable & enthusiastic about all that we were going to see. His personal enthusiasm about the pyramids was catching. Daniel also stopped at a small roadside stand so we could try homemade cookies & beverages of the region! He was a great driver on all the different types of roads we traveled. The tequila distillery was also very interesting. It was smaller than I expected. The tour guide gave insightful information about tequila & the tastings were great! Thoroughly enjoyed the day!

Response from the operator: We are very happy to read this wonderful review. Thank you so much for chose us ans we hope se you soon.

This tour to Guachimontones and Tequila is worth the time. I have visited many archeological sites in Mexico and this one is one of a kind. Beautiful. Daniel is very knowledgeable. He explains everything well and answers all the questions. He is also patient and kind and makes the trip fun and enjoyable. The transportation they use is roomy and comfortable. I definitely recommend this company.

Tour Tequila/Guachimontones Route UNESCO: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Guadalajara.

How much does Tour Tequila/Guachimontones Route UNESCO cost?

    +

Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Guadalajara usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tour Tequila/Guachimontones Route UNESCO take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Guadalajara is not rushed.

Is Tour Tequila/Guachimontones Route UNESCO worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 90 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 161 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Guadalajara, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tour Tequila/Guachimontones Route UNESCO?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tour Tequila/Guachimontones Route UNESCO suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tour Tequila/Guachimontones Route UNESCO?

    +

Around 56 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Guadalajara can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Guadalajara and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tour Tequila/Guachimontones Route UNESCO start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Guadalajara within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Guadalajara?

    +

On Outty we rank every Guadalajara experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Luxury Tequila Experience: VIP Tastings & Boutique Distilleries, Full Day Tour to Tequila and Amatitán with Fun and Culture, The Fire TOUR - Pyramids, Volcanoes, Agaves & Tequila. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Guadalajara?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Guadalajara?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
