Beautiful palaces and gardens, fascinating history

Such a great way to explore the Sintra area. Both Pena palace and Quinta Regaleira were like nothing I have seen before, so different from the "traditional" palaces and villas we have seen in other parts of Europe. Our guide Hugo was very informative and accommodating, sharing the fascinating history of both Pena and Regaleira. The van was comfortable and easily accommodated our group of 8. We really enjoyed the structure of the tour - first a guided tour of Pena Palace, then a stop in town of Sintra for free time to eat lunch and explore, then guided tour of Quinta Regaleira, then free time in Cascais to explore. It was a long day but we packed so much into it. So glad we got to see this amazing part of Portugal!

    Lara was awesome!

Our tour guide was Lara. She was awesome! So informative! She knew everything and I mean everything about the sights and surrounding area. Always spoke with a smile, super friendly and funny. We had a great time and were exhausted by the end of the tour from the walking. Bring comfy shoes and be prepared to walk up hills a lot. Lots of time to eat and lots of places to choose from.

    +

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
