What you get

    About this experience

The journey to Puglia takes us to this town in the province of Foggia, which receives 6 million visitors every year. All thanks to the figure of St. Pius, who lived and did good works here. Beloved and controversial figure, he is undoubtedly the great protagonist of the history of Catholicism of the last century. A reputation that lasts for decades, if not centuries, to come. He thanks a small town in the Gargano, which saw its tourism explode thanks to the portentous presence of this man. In San Giovanni Rotondo, Padre Pio spent almost all his life, and he did the works there. The faithful look to miracles, but even those who do not believe cannot deny the influence that the humble Capuchin friar has had on the masses. A great personality. Whether you are believers or not, the cult of San Pio can be an excuse to visit a delightful village in the country, those that can only be admired if you opt for holidays in Italy.

    A most touching experience

It’s a long drive but it was worth it. One sees different landscapes along the way, the change from Campania to Apuglia. I’ve never seen so many olive trees!

Amazing vist to Padre Pio with Mauro!

Mauro was the utilmate professional with a great passion for learning about the sites we went to as well as polishing his language skills. He not only made sure that our every need was taken care of but he also ensured that we enjoyed the experience. He went out of his way to add St Michel's cave to our trip at our request and ensured we made it to the Rotondu and St Pio's birthplace. His enthusiasm for St Pio and Italian culture was infectious. We thoroughly ensured our complete enjoyment of the trip! Amazing!

    Simply amazing! Exceeded our expectations!

Simply amazing! Mauro is an excellent chauffeur and tour guide, but above that he is an amazing person. The passion he has to the things he does is admirable. My mother wanted to visit the sanctuary of Padre Pio for a while and I just discovered this tour, I was hoping for the best, but expecting an ok trip, boy was I fooled. It was better than I thought, the places were really interesting, very religious, some tourists were there too, in the sanctuary and the house of Padre Pio. But it wouldn't have been the same without Mauro. He worried about my mother, who has a cane, every moment of the way. Asked if she was comfortable, or needed anything and me as well. He shared things about the villages we went through, about little fun facts about everything, told us about him and his family too, we felt like we had known each other long ago. He picked us up from the location we requested, had a nice car, gave us drinks and things to eat, waited for us when needed, recommended places to visit and to eat, and finally (sadly, because we wanted to continue for many days) left us at the agreed location. Me and my mother were and still are thinking about coming back and booking a guide with this guy. 100% recommended, the company as well. Thank you for such an incredible journey, I hope we go back to Napoli again soon. Best regards.

Response from the operator: what a pleasure for our hears! we are very happy to hear this! Mauro is one of our best driver and we had no doubt that he could make you spend a beautiful day . We wait for you again in Naples :)

Tour Of Padre Pio: From Pietrelcina To San Giovanni Rotondo: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.

How much does Tour Of Padre Pio: From Pietrelcina To San Giovanni Rotondo cost?

    +

Prices start at $680 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tour Of Padre Pio: From Pietrelcina To San Giovanni Rotondo take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.

Is Tour Of Padre Pio: From Pietrelcina To San Giovanni Rotondo worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tour Of Padre Pio: From Pietrelcina To San Giovanni Rotondo?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tour Of Padre Pio: From Pietrelcina To San Giovanni Rotondo suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tour Of Padre Pio: From Pietrelcina To San Giovanni Rotondo?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tour Of Padre Pio: From Pietrelcina To San Giovanni Rotondo start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Naples?

    +

On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Naples?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Naples?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
