This itinerary is from the starting point of Naples Area, Salerno Area (port/hotel/train station). The drive from the pick-up location to Sorrento is about 60/90minuti (due to local trafiic) and taking pictures along the road in really beautiful stops. Here you will have about 60 minutes to explore this historical centre have some shopping (really good price), buying souvenirs, have free taste of local Limoncello liquor and extra-virgin olive oil. From here we will drive to Positano in approx 60minutes and taking pictures all along Amalfi coast. In Positano you will have the choice to explore the colorful village walking into the tiny street and have shoping in the luxury butiques (really expensive) or to have lunch in a nice and authentic traditional family restaurant located ud on the cliff ovelooking the all village end its coastline far from the turistic spot and good priced (previously discuss about it with the driver so he can give you good suggestions and rearrenge the schedules for you). Later we leave the Amalfi coast to reach our last stop: Pompeii Ruins. Here you will have 2 hours to explore this big ancient ruin and walking into streets, houses and temples so you can feel the and touch story and drama of the people dieing during the erupton of the Vesuvius Volcano of 79 A.D. Once done, we head back to the pick up location or in any other destination as planned in the reservations..

Best tour ever
Our tour was tailored to our time in port and what we wanted to see. Manuel, our driver, serenaded us with his beautiful voice off and on all day. He avoided traffic and took us on beautiful routes through the mountains overlooking the Amalfi Coast. He arranged for a tour of Herculaneum instead of Pompeii and took us to a cameo factory. What a lovely day

Fantastic experience
My wife and I joined two other couples on this outstanding tour with Carmine, whose services were recommended by a friend who had been on a previous tour with Carmine. We were provided with a professional guide for our Pompei visit, which was invaluable in understanding what we were seeing and its historical significance. Carmine was amazing! He was a wealth of knowledge and a great driver guide as we traveled winding mountain roads from Naples to Positano and Sorrento toward the Amalfi coast. We paid extra for a FABULOUS lunch at Carmine's aunt's restaurant, tucked high into the coastal mountainside, overlooking the sea. La Tagliata Fattoria was incredible, with mouthwatering foods and fine wine. Meals are prepared with vegetables and herbs grown and animals raised right at the same home as the restaurant is located. The staff were fantastic and the dishes were superb! Carmine also blessed us with a bonus tour of a few of his favourite hometown locations... were he grew up and in Naples. By the end of the tour Carmine wasn't just a tour guide... he was family! Thanks so much again, Carmine. Not only do we highly recommend you, but we look forward to the next time we visit Italy and see you again! Ron & Corry E. from Canada

Basically a taxi ride
This was not really a tour guide. You have to request one separately. It's really just a taxi or Uber service. So make sure to ask for a guide if that's what you want. Our driver was nice and explanined a few things along the way about Vesuvius and other things. But he couldh't come into Pompeii. Also where he dropped us off at was a long way from the exit and not in area where you can get an audio guide. He could have met us at the exit gate. Instead we had to walk from the exit gate back to the front gate. I didn't find the audio guide until we walked by it as we were exiting. This is not a skip the line either. We lost 1 hour waiting in line waiting to get tickets into Pompeii. But things did pick up once we went to Sorrento annd Positano. The views themselves were enough to make up for the Pompeii issue. The driver even turned around for me as we were heading back so that I could take some pictures of Sorrento coming into the city.

Favorite day of our trip! Naples Italy
We had so much fun with Paolo in Naples. We were very concerned about time, but Paolo thought about and arranged our day so that all off this stress would be on him, not us. He kept us on schedule and arranged our day so the we could see all of the attractions we hoped to see. He was very knowledgable and personable. His english was great! Would would highly recommend you request Paolo when visiting Naples. You will not be disappointed!

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tour of Positano+Sorrento+Pompeii (BEST SELLER Full Day): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does Tour of Positano+Sorrento+Pompeii (BEST SELLER Full Day) cost?
+
Prices start at $110 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tour of Positano+Sorrento+Pompeii (BEST SELLER Full Day) take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.
Is Tour of Positano+Sorrento+Pompeii (BEST SELLER Full Day) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tour of Positano+Sorrento+Pompeii (BEST SELLER Full Day)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tour of Positano+Sorrento+Pompeii (BEST SELLER Full Day) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tour of Positano+Sorrento+Pompeii (BEST SELLER Full Day)?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tour of Positano+Sorrento+Pompeii (BEST SELLER Full Day) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
