Tour of Capri and Anacapri with chairlift

This time of year is still a bit crowded. It was frenetic getting our buses to and from the Port, but our guide - Dom was top notch! He worked very hard to make the day enjoyable and informative. Even though we selected English as our language, we were paired with people from other countries who spoke different languages. The good news was that Dom spoke them all. The chair lift to the top of Anicapri was amazing and with this tour, Dom helped us skip the line - which almost an hour wait! Then took us to beautiful gardens in Capri with beautiful views. Nice day!

Great day on Capri

Our guide, Dominico , was great. We know his job was difficult because there were four different small group tours within our shuttle bus. He was able to keep track of each group’s different agendas and made every effort to make sure that each group was happy with their experience and received his personalized attention.

Total confusion

The first thing I will say is that we did book this tour the evening before it was to take place,and they accepted our reservation.This tour was a disaster. I had read that the beginning/meeting place was very confusing. That is a total understatement! We were exactly where they told us to be at 10:40, and at 11:40 we finally called the tour number because no one showed up.They instructed us to go across the street and consult with someone over there. They shuffled us onto a bus for the chairlift and told us our guide would meet us there. He did after several more phone calls and apologized for the confusion that had occurred because “we made the reservations late.”He was very personable.He told us about the chairlift and several more things to do at this stop. He got us to the front of a very long chairlift line which was very helpful, and told us to meet him back at a certain spot after we were done seeing everything. We never saw him again. We also did not get to see the Capri or Augustus Gardens part of the tour, because “we ran out of time”. They should not have accepted our reservation if they could not get it organized in time! We truly should get our money back!! BEWARE!

We accepted the reservation, but this left extremely limited time to properly coordinate a last-minute booking, particularly regarding the meeting arrangements and transportation. We sincerely apologize for the confusion you experienced at the beginning of the tour. Once you contacted us, we immediately worked to locate you and arrange for you to join the group. Our guide then met you, assisted you with the chairlift, and even helped you reach the front of a very long queue — something that was certainly not an obligation, but an effort to make the best of the situation. After the chairlift, there is an important detail that is missing from your review. We remained in contact via WhatsApp, and you told us that you had decided to spend more time exploring Anacapri. Since you were staying at a hotel in Capri and had your own accommodation arrangements, based on the information you provided to us, we understood that you had decided to continue enjoying Anacapri independently and that our assistance was no longer necessary at that point. For this reason, it is not correct to say that “we never saw the guide again” as though the guide simply disappeared or abandoned you. We were communicating with you, and we understood from your messages that you had chosen to spend additional time in Anacapri. Naturally, spending considerably more time at one stop also affects the time available for the remaining itinerary. The tour schedule cannot be extended indefinitely, particularly when transportation and other arrangements are involved. We are sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations, and we acknowledge that the initial meeting arrangements were confusing. Nevertheless, we believe it is important to clarify that our team remained in contact with you, our guide assisted you personally, helped you avoid a significant queue at the chairlift, and the decision to spend additional time in Anacapri was communicated to us by you.

Well organised and worthwhile for 1 day on Capri

Domenico was very organised, reliable and got us to all parts of the tour program. Anacapri was a nice town and, although we didn't get much time in Capri town, it was also good to see. We paid for the additional boat ride, which was very well worth it.

Our guide Domenic was truly a pleasure to have lead our group. He took the time to explain some history of the areas, where to go for gelato :), pizza and quickly through lines. It was an extremely warm day but Domenic kept his cool and smile throughout the day! Grazie Domenic!
