Great Introduction to history Mexico City
My wife and I had great experience on our first day in Mexico City. Starting from communication from Erik the night before all the way through getting us back to our hotel in Polanco after the tour. Our driver, Anthony was excellent and helped us to practice our basic Spanish during the rides. We had very pleasant and informative discussion with the CDMX native on different topics. The actual walking tour with Erik was perfect. In a few hours we not only saw all of the main landmarks of the CDMX Historical center, but also learned so much history of Mexico from a truly passionate guide that shaped our remaining stay in the city. Highly recommended.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience in such detail! We're thrilled to hear that your first day in Mexico City was memorable from start to finish. It's wonderful that Erik's communication the night before helped set the stage, and that Anthony made the rides enjoyable with some Spanish practice—what a great way to immerse yourselves! We're especially glad that the walking tour with Erik gave you a deeper appreciation of Mexico's history and helped shape the rest of your stay. That's exactly the kind of experience we aim to provide. Thank you for recommending us, and we hope to welcome you both back someday!

Misleading website but great guide!
The trip was not going to match at all the description on the website. Instead of visiting 6 - 8 major places in different parts of town with a driver and guide, driver was just taking us from hotel to Zocalo to meet guide, who then would walk us around for 3h! We complained to the guide Eric, who was very understanding and changed activities according to our wishes. Eric was excellent, very knowledgeable, and we found his explanations of history etc. very interesting. But Viator’s website description was very misleading. Too bad! But thanks to Eric’s understanding and expertise it turned out to be a great experience after all.
Response from the operator: "Thank you so much for your honest feedback, and we're truly sorry that the original description caused confusion about how the tour would operate. That’s definitely not the first impression we want to give. We're very glad that Eric was able to step in, listen to your preferences, and turn things around—he truly is passionate about sharing Mexico City in the best way possible. Your comments have been invaluable to us: we've since updated our tour description to make the itinerary and format much clearer, so future travelers know exactly what to expect. Thank you for giving us the chance to improve, and we hope to welcome you back for another great experience

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tour In Mexico City-Driver and Guide Included - 3 hours: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.
How much does Tour In Mexico City-Driver and Guide Included - 3 hours cost?
+
Prices start at $999 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tour In Mexico City-Driver and Guide Included - 3 hours take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.
Is Tour In Mexico City-Driver and Guide Included - 3 hours worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tour In Mexico City-Driver and Guide Included - 3 hours?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tour In Mexico City-Driver and Guide Included - 3 hours suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tour In Mexico City-Driver and Guide Included - 3 hours?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tour In Mexico City-Driver and Guide Included - 3 hours start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mexico City?
+
On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mexico City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mexico City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
