My opinion
I would have liked for us to have more time in Real del Monte because we liked that place more; it is spectacular, and I recommend eating the pastes.

Fun way to visit several pueblos magicos in Hidalgo in one shot
This experience offers a private and flexible way to define the tour you want to have for the day; I recommend it because you don’t go in a large group as the operator focuses on securing quality time with a small group of people and because of the flexibility to make the tour custom to your needs. I made the tour with my family, a party of three people in total, and we all enjoyed the tour very much because (1) we had the opportunity to see several things in one day, i.e. we visited 6 different places throughout the day, (2) we enjoyed the comfort of being driven back and forth from Mexico City to Hidalgo, (3) we enjoyed the company of our tour guide who was knowledgeable, nice to chat to and kind and (4) the tour guide offered us flexibility to skip or add places to our scheduled route. Our tour guide was Javier Gutiérrez and we had a lot of fun with him and appreciated his attentiveness to our needs; for example, during our visit to Pachuca city we wanted to go up to “El Cristo” and even though it wasn’t a landmark on the tour, he took us there. Additionally we got to know a little bit about Javier so all-in-all we had a very personable experience.
Response from the operator: Muchas gracias por sus comentarios y por su retroalimentacion, nos complace mucho que haya disfrutado de su viaje por Huasca y Real del Monte Esperamos su visita pronto

Perfect way to get to know Pueblos Magicos in Hidalgo
I recommend this tour for people who want to know several well known landmarks and towns of Hidalgo. It’s a full day tour and you’ll knock out of your list several destinations. My family and I, a party of 3 people, enjoyed this tour very much because it was private and personalized and our guide was very flexible with the route and gave us several options to pick from for us to decide which type of tour we wanted for the day. Our guide was Javier González and we recommend him for being knowledgeable, patient and kind.
Response from the operator: Muchas gracias por sus bonitos comentarios, los esperamos de nuevo por Hidalgo, Mexico

Fun time with great guide!
This trip was so fun! It’s a perfect way to go outside of CDMX and see some magic towns. Javier is a wonderful guide. He is knowledgeable and very kind and fun to talk to. The nice thing about this trip is you can make some choices about what you do and don’t want to see. If I could do it over again, I would skip the first town with the clock tower - it’s not very interesting. Overall a great experience!

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tour Magic Towns of Hidalgo Real del Monte and Huasca: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.
How much does Tour Magic Towns of Hidalgo Real del Monte and Huasca cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tour Magic Towns of Hidalgo Real del Monte and Huasca take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.
Is Tour Magic Towns of Hidalgo Real del Monte and Huasca worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tour Magic Towns of Hidalgo Real del Monte and Huasca?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tour Magic Towns of Hidalgo Real del Monte and Huasca suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tour Magic Towns of Hidalgo Real del Monte and Huasca?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tour Magic Towns of Hidalgo Real del Monte and Huasca start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mexico City?
+
On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mexico City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mexico City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
