    Good itinerary and local guides

Lorenzo was an excellent guide in Alberobello and Giuseppe in Matera was also very good. The itinerary was about right with plenty of time to hang out in cafes to rest from walking in the heat. There is a public toilet in the main square in Matera.

    Matera is worth it!

Great day out and I would highly recommend! The only problem was that it wasn't long enough! I want to go back to Matera to fully visit it. I was interested in a tour of and experiencing Matera so I booked this. Alberobello was just a nice bonus add-on for me but it was still pretty. Alberobello was just some nice houses and very small, once you've seen it, then that's it. I wouldn't recommend purchasing a guided tour for Alberobello. Matera however is huge and totally worth it! I felt like I was stood on sacred ground. It is an ancient and very fascinating town. I recommend the guided tour. Our tour guide, Cosomo, was very knowledgeable and would answer any questions participants had. The coach was also a smooth ride. The air-conditioning functioned but wasn't the best but better than nothing. Enough leg room and comfortable seats.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review! We're delighted to hear that you had a great day and that Matera left such a strong impression on you. Its unique history and atmosphere truly make it one of the most fascinating destinations in Italy. We're also pleased that you enjoyed the guided tour with Cosimo and found his knowledge and passion valuable throughout the visit. It's wonderful to know that you were comfortable during the journey and appreciated the overall experience. We hope to welcome you back soon for another visit to Matera—there is always more to discover in this extraordinary city! 😊

    Lovely experience

The experience was lovely. The bus was clean and comfortable. The drivers and guides were professional. The amount of time at each location was just right for a first time experience. It was a good value for the price.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience and found the bus clean and comfortable. It's wonderful to know that our drivers and guides helped make your day enjoyable and that the time spent at each destination felt just right for a first visit. We're also pleased that you found the tour to be a good value. We hope to welcome you back to Puglia for another memorable experience soon! 😊

    Avoid

IT was not a tour, IT was only a transport for 55 eur (bus ticket would cost less then 10eur) we had to walk about 10 min just to reach the site. The guide was AI speaking in few languages in the bus. I felt betrayed and despaired. Avoid Smart Tours!

How much does Tour di Alberobello & Guida a Matera, from bari cost?

    +

Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bari usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tour di Alberobello & Guida a Matera, from bari take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bari is not rushed.

Is Tour di Alberobello & Guida a Matera, from bari worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 37 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bari, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tour di Alberobello & Guida a Matera, from bari?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tour di Alberobello & Guida a Matera, from bari suitable for kids and families?

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tour di Alberobello & Guida a Matera, from bari?

    +

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bari can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bari and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tour di Alberobello & Guida a Matera, from bari start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bari within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bari?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bari experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bari’s Ultimate Street Food Tour - Small Group by Do Eat Better, Boat Tour of the Polignano a Mare Coast with Aperitif, Polignano a Mare: Boat Tour of the Caves - Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bari?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bari?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
