Bad App
Can’t see how this cost £67. Was directed to down load an app on my phone as the guide. Terrible app with no signage at the site to tell you which section to play. Also cuts out every time your phone shuts due to being inactive. Ie using the app doesn’t keep the phone active. App also closes if you take a picture. Basically a rip off when a normal entry ticket is so much cheaper.
Response from the operator: VIATOR app is not ours, this opinion is not about us, is about Viator. And you make a reservation for a ticket the day before, you got a ticket when are sold our until june. For that you pay more, we don´t have to work hours to get you a ticket if you made like the rest of visitors one month ago. This review is stupid

Waste of time, not recommended
Don't recommend, booked and never heard anything back, chased TripAdvisor for an answer the evening before the tour and they were useless. The booking was then cancelled at 20:30 the day before. It seems you aren't actually making a booking, all TripAdvisor do after you've booked is ask the operator if they can fulfil it, total waste of time and effort.
Response from the operator: False, you never had a reservation, just inly a petition but we can not teach to read to people. Then don´t lose your time create lies in Viator Thanks

Disastrours Alhambra Tour
A trip to visit the Alhambra and Generalife my son and I were very much looking forward to turned into a very disappointing experience. Booking this tour with Viator was a breeze, but the operator in Granada turned out to be very unprofessional. It all started with very confusing instructions for the meeting place. When I finally found the meeting place, a hot and humid tour office with hundreds of people crowded together, the tour guide was nowhere to be seen. I asked for them, and no one seemed to know them. I texted them, they told me “We're in peak season. It's normal for the crowds to be high.” Then it got worse. The person went on to rail against Viator itself, saying that they take 40% commission and telling us that we should feel “privileged” that we were able to get tickets even when we didn’t book the tour with much time in advance. At this point, I was only asking for guidance and for the tour guide to make a reasonable effort to meet us somewhere. We were then accused of “making things difficult.” In the end, they texted me 30 minutes later than the time the tour was supposed to start to let us know that the tour was departing without us. Like I said at the beginning, booking with Viator was a breeze, but the tour can only be as good as the tour company Viator works with at the location and this particular tour operator turned out to be a disaster. You’re better off booking this tour by yourself and buying your tickets straight from the Alhambra website with an audio guide included.
Response from the operator: Dear visitor, we just have to make one comment about this. Next time, read the messages, emails, and reservation voucher, and go to the meeting point that was indicated. That way, you won't have any problems. And the workers will also feel respected.

Extremely disappointed
That the tour was cancelled 1 hour before it was supposed to go ahead. If it had been our last day here we would have missed what you come to see in Granada.
Response from the operator: This visitor has scammed us out of €45 using Viator's customer service. The guided tour was cancelled because we did not reach the minimum number of participants necessary to pay the guide which costs 200 euros and you have paid 30 euros for the guided tour, therefore we have sent you your tickets and refunded you the proportional part of the amount. However, you are trying to swindle us out of that amount and get your tour for free, but we do not tolerate such things. That is an attempt of robbery, in Spain and in any other country Thanks for your comments you help us uncover customers who are trying to take advantage and make a profit.

The tour operator canceled the tour a few hours before the event, they don't answer the phone. A real nightmare.
Horrible experience, I booked the tour for our anniversary, the tour operator canceled the tour a few hours before the event, imagine spending money on travel, under their strict advice you book an hotel to sleep in Granada the night before in order to avoid delay at the meeting point of the tour, and then wake up at dawn and find as a good morning the mail message "the tour has been canceled for unknown reasons" two hours from the beginning. We had to buy way more expensive last minute tickets or we would have missed the opportunity to see the Alhambra after all our efforts. It was a nightmare. Fortunately we have solved with tour operators much more serious than this. Never again, no customer support, not even answering the phone.
Response from the operator: Let's talk about the real facts that everyone can check. Today, May 27th, in our tripadvisor profile TEC 2023 we have 692 reviews. 641 with a rating of excellent and an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5. Now let's talk about your subjective opinion Unknown reason no, customer support is Viator, we didn´t cancelled. You have your tour cancelled because you don´t want pay for the guide, you want paid half cost ...but it´s better don´t pay. You don´t resolve anything because you don´t have tickets for tomorrow and never for today. Real nightmare is ours, is for this city but at end it is finish Thanks God

Why this scores 36
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tour Alhambra and Generalife with audioguide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Granada.
How much does Tour Alhambra and Generalife with audioguide cost?
+
Prices start at $77 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Granada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tour Alhambra and Generalife with audioguide take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Granada is not rushed.
Is Tour Alhambra and Generalife with audioguide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 36 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 89 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Granada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tour Alhambra and Generalife with audioguide?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Tour Alhambra and Generalife with audioguide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tour Alhambra and Generalife with audioguide?
+
Around 31 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Granada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Granada and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tour Alhambra and Generalife with audioguide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Granada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Granada?
+
On Outty we rank every Granada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Granada: Sierra Nevada Safari tour up to 2500 meters high, Granada Tapas and Wine Small Group Tour, Granada: Albaicin and Sacromonte Segway Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Granada?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Granada?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
