Drifting in Tsukuba
Today I enjoyed the drifting experience and had the opportunity to also sit in many other jdm cars and drift as a passenger in them. The crew was very nice and welcoming and I would 100% come again.

Really cool drift lesson
Had an amazing time out with them on the drift pad. Picked me up in front of my hotel directly and drove me to the drift track outside Tokyo. Had a great lesson with Rin-san and Mori-san, they taught me all I needed and got to drifting almost immediately! Definitely recommend if you're new to drifting and want to actually enjoy it in the Tokyo area.

Best part of my Tokyo trip !!!
The pickup process was smooth and the teacher was very patient. Learning to drive manual wasnt hard since you stay in first gear most of the time. I got up to doing the figure 8s and teacher was great and slightly adjusting me to do it better. Would definitely go again. Also the drive to the track might be one of the most beautiful drives ive ever seen.

Extremely unprofessional and unreliable!!!
I booked a drifting driving class for around ¥158,000–¥168,000, and the level of service I received was completely unacceptable for that price. Communication was almost nonexistent. My emails and messages were ignored, and I only got a response after asking a Japanese-speaking friend to contact them. That alone says a lot about how they treat international customers. When they finally replied, the information kept changing. First, everything was “confirmed.” Then suddenly the practice car “has a problem” and I was told to “wait for an update” — the day before the booking. At the same time, they tried to charge me an extra ¥30,000 for a spectator, which was not clearly communicated beforehand. If the car was already not available, why was I not informed when I contacted them multiple times? Why did it take someone calling in Japanese to get any response? This is a high-priced experience, and with that comes basic expectations: clear communication, transparency, and organization. None of that was delivered. Instead, it felt disorganized and, frankly, opportunistic. Not all tourists are “easy money.” Many of us work extremely hard and save for experiences like this. This booking alone costs more than a monthly salary in some countries, and the way this was handled shows a complete lack of respect for that. I cancelled my booking because I had zero confidence that the experience would actually happen as promised. I strongly recommend others to be cautious before booking.
Response from the operator: We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, frustration, and disappointment caused, especially after you chose to book our drifting experience lesson and were looking forward to the experience. Our lessons place the highest priority on vehicle condition, safety, and securing track availability. For that reason, unexpected mechanical issues or course scheduling circumstances may occasionally require changes or adjustments to a booking. However, regardless of the situation, we fully acknowledge that we should have communicated with you promptly, clearly, and professionally. We deeply apologize that our responses were insufficient and that important updates were not delivered properly. We also sincerely regret that our pricing information and explanations were not clear enough, which understandably caused concern and frustration. Please note that your booking payment has already been fully refunded. We take your feedback very seriously. To prevent situations like this from happening again, we are reviewing and improving our communication system and internal procedures to ensure that no customer inquiries or replies are missed in the future. We understand that you were looking forward to this experience, and we are truly sorry that we let you down. Thank you for your honest feedback.

Go here if u want to learn
This is the real deal. We got picked up by one of the co-founders, and the vibe was great from the start, super chill and welcoming. The drive to the circuit took about an hour, and as soon as we arrived things moved quickly. Within 30 minutes most of our group was already doing donuts. All the instructors are the perfect mix: skilled, patient, and genuinely excited to hype you up once you start getting the hang of it. They also record you while you’re drifting, which is a nice bonus. There’s a lunch break in between sessions too. Overall, it was an awesome way to kick off our Japan trip. If you’re even slightly curious about drifting, this is absolutely worth it.

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tokyo Drift Lesson self driving & PRO experience JAPAN TRACK: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.
How much does Tokyo Drift Lesson self driving & PRO experience JAPAN TRACK cost?
+
Prices start at $70000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tokyo Drift Lesson self driving & PRO experience JAPAN TRACK take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.
Is Tokyo Drift Lesson self driving & PRO experience JAPAN TRACK worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tokyo Drift Lesson self driving & PRO experience JAPAN TRACK?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tokyo Drift Lesson self driving & PRO experience JAPAN TRACK suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 14. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Tokyo Drift Lesson self driving & PRO experience JAPAN TRACK?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tokyo Drift Lesson self driving & PRO experience JAPAN TRACK start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tokyo?
+
Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Class, Tokyo : Asakusa Chopsticks Making Class, Shinjuku Night Food and Bar Crawl. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tokyo?
+
Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tokyo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
