Timed entry with audio guide
The Pitti palace is spectacular, so much artwork and historical architecture. The audio guide was not great, it didn't correspond with each room which is numbered. We also were not allowed into the costume rooms where you can see period dresses. No explanation why our tickets excluded this area. So definitely go to the Pitti with a timed entry so you can walk right in, but skip the audio.
Response from the operator: Dear Judith R, Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you had a nice time during your visit. At the same time, we are sorry to hear that the audio tour did not fully meet your expectations. The audio guide is designed to provide detailed information and highlight all key artifacts & rooms to enhance the overall experience. We truly appreciate your feedback & we will try to improve the same for future.

Palace excellent, gardens inaccessible
No point in going to the gardens at present as lots of features are being restored and are covered in scaffolding
Response from the operator: Dear DavenportSharky, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your visit to the Pitti Palace. We are sorry for the Boboli Gardens as the estoration and conservation work is occasionally carried out to preserve the gardens' historic beauty, We appreciate your understanding and thank you for choosing us. We hope to welcome you back once the restoration work is complete so you can enjoy the gardens in their full splendor.

Very overpriced via Viator.
The gardens and palace are wonderful. Unfortunately there is a lot of walking and my wife had a bad back so couldn’t do all of the gardens and exhibitions. Allow a good 3-4 hours for this visit. The palace is beautiful and has so many pieces of art. I did have an issue when we went to check in as the gardens said at first that our ticket was just for the palace but when I checked it was a combination ticket for palace and gardens. The people at the gate asked if we had already been in as our ticket was not valid. However they were lovely and let us in anyway. What I do have issue with is that we paid £149 for 4 tickets with a face value of €22 each - total €88 so paid double gave value. When I questioned this I was told that this was their ‘fees’ I have used Viator many times with great success and satisfaction but I find this mark up on ticket prices quite extortionate. The gardens and palace were not that busy so we could have just rocked up and bought €22 tickets and saved a fortune.
Response from the operator: Dear Ray T, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed visiting Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens and appreciated their beauty. We’re sorry for the confusion regarding your tickets at the entrance, but we’re pleased that the staff were able to assist and ensure you could enjoy your visit. We would like to clarify that our service includes not only admission but also the Digital audios Tours, convenience of advance reservation, skipping the ticket purchase line, booking management, and customer support assistance. While on-site ticket prices may differ, many guests value the ability to secure their preferred entry time in advance, particularly during busy periods when availability can vary. Thank you again for your feedback, and we’re glad you had an enjoyable experience overall.

Why this scores 49
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Timed Entry Ticket to Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens in Florence: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.
How much does Timed Entry Ticket to Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens in Florence cost?
+
Prices start at $5 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Timed Entry Ticket to Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens in Florence take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.
Is Timed Entry Ticket to Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens in Florence worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 144 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Timed Entry Ticket to Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens in Florence?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Timed Entry Ticket to Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens in Florence suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Timed Entry Ticket to Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens in Florence?
+
Around 50 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Timed Entry Ticket to Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens in Florence start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Florence?
+
On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Florence?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Florence?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
