Amazing trip with George!
It is great doing a private tour and George was amazing! If you are cautious about doing it, don't be! You are guaranteed to be back on the ship and it's so much better than group excursions for about the same price! I would 100% do it again!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this review! We’re glad to hear you had such a great experience with George! Private tours truly offer a whole different level of comfort and flexibility. Thank you for trusting us, and we hope to welcome you back to Rhodes again soon. Warm regards!

Nice overview of the island
By the time we took this tour, we had seen several islands and historical sites on the mainland. Our driver was helpful in tailoring our tour to spend more time in the unique sites (Palace of the Grand Master) and less on the archeological sites. Since we wanted to swim, he called ahead at the lunch place and reserved us a beach bed and umbrella for no extra fee. We swam in the beautiful water while waiting for our food. It was a great experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We are glad that our driver could customize the day to your exact preferences, ensuring you spent your time exactly how you wanted—from exploring the Palace of the Grand Master to enjoying that relaxing swim during lunch. We hope to welcome you back to Rhodes in the future!

Great tour, wonderful experience in Rhodes!
We had a wonderful visit to Rhodes and Lindos, and Dimitrios made the day truly special for our family. This was a very nice, family-friendly tour, and we would highly recommend it. Dimitrios was an excellent driver and guide for the day. He made sure we were able to see everything we wanted to see, while also adding some amazing local stops that made the experience even better. Two of the highlights were a local handmade pottery maker and a family-owned olive farm stand and olive oil tasting location. Those might sound like small or simple stops, but they were absolutely amazing and ended up being some of our favorite parts of the day. He also went out of his way to help us see things that would not have been possible on a larger bus tour. One example was a short out-of-the-way trip so we could get a close-up view of St. Paul’s Cathedral. That kind of personal flexibility made a big difference and helped the day feel much more meaningful. Another highlight was lunch. Dimitrios found and made reservations for us at a local restaurant where we had the most amazing Greek salad and some excellent fresh seafood. It was exactly the kind of local meal we were hoping for, and we really appreciated him arranging it for us. For anyone visiting Rhodes or Lindos in late June or early July, be prepared: it is brutally hot this time of year. Bring electric fans, umbrellas for shade, sunscreen, and make sure you stay hydrated. Dimitrios always had cold water available for us, which was very much appreciated and very much needed. Overall, this was a fantastic tour and a great way to experience Rhodes and Lindos in a personal, comfortable, and family-friendly way. Dimitrios was kind, professional, flexible, and thoughtful throughout the entire day. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rhodes.
Response from the operator: Dear Nick, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review! We are delighted to hear that you and your family had a wonderful day exploring Rhodes and Lindos with Dimitrios. It means a great deal to us that you appreciated the flexibility of a private tour and enjoyed some of the authentic local experiences we love sharing with our guests. We're especially happy that the pottery workshop and the family-run olive farm became some of the highlights of your day. These are the kinds of places that truly showcase the traditions and hospitality of Rhodes, and we're always pleased when our guests enjoy them as much as we do. We're also glad Dimitrios was able to tailor the day to your interests, from the stop at St. Paul's Bay to arranging a delicious seaside lunch featuring fresh local seafood. It's those personal touches that make every private tour unique. Thank you as well for mentioning the summer heat and sharing such helpful advice for future visitors. Rhodes can certainly be very warm during late June and early July, so we're pleased the cold bottled water helped keep everyone comfortable throughout the day. Your kind words about Dimitrios mean a lot, and we'll be sure to pass along your compliments to him. He'll be happy to know he helped make your visit to Rhodes such a memorable one. We hope to welcome you and your family back to Rhodes someday for another unforgettable adventure!

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
The Very Best of Rhodes: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rhodes.
How much does The Very Best of Rhodes cost?
+
Prices start at $380 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rhodes usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The Very Best of Rhodes take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rhodes is not rushed.
Is The Very Best of Rhodes worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 135 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rhodes, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The Very Best of Rhodes?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The Very Best of Rhodes suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The Very Best of Rhodes?
+
Around 47 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rhodes can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rhodes and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The Very Best of Rhodes start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rhodes within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rhodes?
+
On Outty we rank every Rhodes experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Makarounas Fishing Boat Trip with swimming stop and BBQ on board, Athens cruise: Agistri, Moni/Metopi, Aegina with lunch & drinks, Rhodes Sea Kayaking Tour – The Pirates Route. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rhodes?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rhodes?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
