Ideal intro to Angkor!

This was exactly what we were looking for on our visit to Siem Reap. Our guide, Chen, arrived on time, accompanied by our excellent driver. The car was clean and comfortably air conditioned. A short, safe drive and we arrived at Angkor Wat, where Chen guided us through from start to finish, sharing all his knowledge. He took some great photos for us as well. Then the driver provided us with cold towels and ice cold water, both greatly appreciated. Would 100% recommend this trip!

Response from the operator: Dear Kathleen, Hope this message fine you well, nothing makes us happier than knowing that you enjoyed and got the best experience with us. On behalf of guide and driver, I would like to thanks for visiting Cambodia and chose our service to visit the Angkor Wat temple. It's been a great pleasure to serving you and deeply thanks for your great feedback, it really important for us. Thanks and we wish to see you again in upcoming future. Kind Regards, Mark

Target this Destination

A successful adventure is often defined by a memorable personal experience. I booked the half day tour of Angkor Wat with few expectations. I was prepared to be driven an hour to and from the destination from our hotel, and to walk for a few hours to tour the temple, but that was about it. My takeaway, however, was a lasting memory. Angkor Wat is the 8th official wonder of the world for a reason; it’s amazing! Both it and its diminutive neighbor Ta Pram were visually stunning and worth every minute of our time. Our tour guide Mak was organized, professional, appropriately engaging and very good company. If you have an opportunity to be shepherded around by our tour guide Mak Adventure, you’ll find yourself very well taken care of. The bottled iced water and the chilled hand towels were thoughtful details that added to the experience. Mak was particularly knowledgeable, affable and professional. He also suggested several great locations for photos, and tailored our experience to our needs. I can now say that my experience at Siem Reap would have felt incomplete had I not taken a guided tour of Angkor Wat and the surrounding area. Kudos to Mak Adventure and trip advisor.

Response from the operator: Good afternoon! Hope you're doing well. Nothing make me happier than knowing that you enjoyed and got the great experience with us. Nice story telling

We’re planning to Siem Reap from Phnom Penh to spend our weekend. After so much consideration we are taking a flight route which has total duration of 90 min (flight duration + airport to Siem Reap downtown). Upon searching a guide for Angkor Wat, we stumbled with a good review about Mak, we given a try and our choices is correct. Mak is a good guide, they pick up us at our hotel, and explain our itinerary in details. He also explain about the history about Angkor Wat and its surrounding. The car also clean, and it has a cold towel and cold drink, good when u done from exploration of Angkor Wat. Very recommended guide 👍👍

Response from the operator: Good morning Steven, Hope you're doing well and arrived Jakarta safely. I would like to thanks for visiting Cambodia and chose our service to visit Angkor Wat, we are really happy that you enjoyed and experienced more about temples and history of Cambodia. Thanks and really appreciate for great feedback, we wish to see you again in upcoming future. Mak

The Ultimate Half-Day Angkor Temple Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does The Ultimate Half-Day Angkor Temple Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does The Ultimate Half-Day Angkor Temple Tour take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is The Ultimate Half-Day Angkor Temple Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule The Ultimate Half-Day Angkor Temple Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is The Ultimate Half-Day Angkor Temple Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book The Ultimate Half-Day Angkor Temple Tour?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does The Ultimate Half-Day Angkor Temple Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

+

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
