Five stars for Discover Inca Planet!!!!
Discover Inca Planet provided excellent service to our group of 15 Dartmouth College alumni who visited Peru from Oct. 18 - Oct. 26, 2025. The team was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and meticulous in their attention to detail. The Machu Picchu hike, visits to sacred Inca sites, zip lining, and other activities and events were well-planned and organized. I highly recommend this wonderful collection of guides and hosts. Thank you to the Discover Inca Planet team for sharing your beautiful country with us!
Response from the operator: so glad to hear that you enjoy the trip with US, thank you

The Amazing Discover Inca Planet
Our tour was 9 days and 8 nights. We were sixteen women, representing 50 years of Dartmouth graduates. The team of Discover Inca Planet made certain we had the best time ever while visiting Peru. Climbing Huayna Picchu, touring Machu Picchu, kayaking and paddle boarding, ATV and motorbiking to see Rainbow Mountain; and, zip-lining across scenic mountains were all part of our outstanding experience with Discover Inca Planet. There was also chocolate making and a Peruvian cooking class. The Discover Inca Planet team provided history and cultural insight that helped us better understand Peruvian culture and traditions and the Quechuan language. It's hard to imagine there could be a more committed team in Peru, than Discover Inca Planet, that is prepared to provide all tourism needs from airport pickup; to hotel accommodations; coordinating visits to popular sites including Machu Picchu; arranging transportation throughout the tour; and, numerous other coordinating tourism details. Discover Inca Planet is amazing and highly recommended!
Response from the operator: thank you so much for such a nice comments

Great Experience in Cusco
We had an incredible experience in Peru, thanks to our amazing tour guide Noe! He took us to Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, Rainbow Mountain, and gave us a fantastic tour of Cusco. From airport pickup to drop-off, everything was perfectly organized and hassle-free. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable trip. Highly recommended!

Extraordinary family trek
We did the Lares trek (3 days) as a family (our daughters are 11 and 14 years old) with our guides Noe & Josue, our cook chief Aquileno, Benito our horse man and their team. It was an extraordinary experience both on the sporting and human aspects. From the briefing on the first day, to the football match by the river with Aquileno's family, to the crossing of the pass at 4679m altitude and finally the cold beer in front of the France football match in a restaurant in Ollantaytambo at the end, everything was perfect. The team is incredibly kind and our daughters were able to count on the mules in the hard times. Indeed, each landscape at high altitude is earned and prior acclimatization is essential to fully experience the experience. Finally, how can we not mention the succulent cuisine of Aquileno whose smells make you quicken your pace to get to the camp faster: various soups, salad with avocados, grilled trout, rice, vegetables... Thank you for all these moments that are now engraved in us.

Multi sport & hike Inca tour
Abe and Gonzalo were exceptional tour guides that went above and beyond at all times . They arranged everything , handled any issues that arose, helped us with everything and made sure we kept to schedule. Their knowledge of the Inca history was phenomenal. They both had a great sense of humor and are wonderful people. I would definitely recommend! They also seem to gave a lot of connections in every town and are very well liked by all

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does The Sacred Valley, MachuPicchu & Rainbow Mountain 8 days cost?

Prices start at $1,855 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The Sacred Valley, MachuPicchu & Rainbow Mountain 8 days take?
+
Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is The Sacred Valley, MachuPicchu & Rainbow Mountain 8 days worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The Sacred Valley, MachuPicchu & Rainbow Mountain 8 days?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The Sacred Valley, MachuPicchu & Rainbow Mountain 8 days suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 192-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The Sacred Valley, MachuPicchu & Rainbow Mountain 8 days?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The Sacred Valley, MachuPicchu & Rainbow Mountain 8 days start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Full-Day Humantay Lake Trek (Meals Included), Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
