About this experience
This is a real Embera experience that begins with a beautiful canoe ride on the Chagres River. From the moment we arrive at the port, the Emberas will welcome you wearing their traditional guayuco and the amburá. Breathtaking views of the Panamanian jungle. We may need to hike anywhere from 5 - 15 minutes to reach the refreshing waterfall (it varies during summer time) Finally, you make it to a Real Village that looks like a postcard from 50 years ago. Dances, traditional food, and handicraft items are shown to you by the Embera ladies. One on one session to speak to them, laugh, and share experiences. Important: *This tour is offered from hotels in Panama City. * Requests from resorts outside of Panama City such as Gamboa, Playa Bonita, Decameron or Playa Blanca will have an additional cost

Best in Panama
Sorey is #1 Was a pleasure from start to finish. Made it unique, interesting & fun throughout. Everyone we net knows her guvung hugs and big hellos which allowed for many open conversations with the local people Look forward to the next time we can visit and have a tour with Sorey!!

The best tourism company in panama
The BEST tour company ever. She planned the whole week filled with the best food and activities. Anything we wanted, she found and made happen. It was so nice being able to relax and just trust her the whole week. I seriously cannot recommend the team enough. Do yourself a favor and book with them. This is simply the best tour group you will ever use. It is as simple as that. No other tour group I have ever used even comes close to the quality of the Real Panama Tours.

Spectacular
The Panamanian village canoe tour was an unforgettable experience. Gliding through tranquil waters, we were warmly welcomed by the village's friendly residents. Their vibrant culture and traditional crafts were captivating, and the scenic beauty of the surroundings was simply breathtaking. This tour offered an intimate glimpse into local life, complete with insightful storytelling and delicious traditional treats. The best way to see Panama
We did two tours with Sorhay-Panama canal and a visit with an Embera village. Both were wonderful ways to see Panama. Sorhay was knowledgeable, fun, and took time to get to know us so she could adapt the tour for our family for 5. We LOVED our Embera tour which included a canoe ride to the village, tour of the village, lunch (of the freshest fruit, fish and Yuka) and a hike to an amazing waterfall. She really knows the Embera families and it shows. And the food- she knows all of the best spots. The carimanolas were delicious. And she gave us places to eat after our tour that were also amazing. We wouldn’t go back to Panama without booking another tour with Sorhay. Our family has had dozens of tour guides in many countries and Sorhay is definitely one of the best.
