A nearly perfect day at Chankanaab
I was intentional with booking an excursion with snorkeling, and this one had it included, WITHOUT the extra marine fees AND it included our ride to the resort. Perfect. Our drivers (not even a 10 minute ride from the pier) delivered us straight to the entrance and introduced us to our liaison for the park who then showed us around and brought our welcome drinks to our area. When I asked about the snorkeling, he said our package was just a ‘basic’ one, so it was NOT included. I showed him my tickets and what was included, he called his boss…finally came back to say that sorry, there was a mix-up, and if we wanted to snorkel, they’d give us a deal of $10 (instead of the resort’s $17) per person. Well, since the entire focus was to snorkel, we went with it, and decided to pay a little more. The reef was so beautiful and peaceful. Tons of purples and teals - corals, plants, and other sea life and fish. We snorkeled so much, we burned our butts in the sun (don’t forget to sunscreen those areas!!). Also in the resort, we had free tequila tasting, hammocks, wildlife, Mayan ruins replicas, sea lions, dolphins, and manatees (extra fees for swimming w/the animals, but a sea lion show was included). We could order food and drinks from our seats. There was also scuba diving available for another fee. My family of 8 greatly enjoyed the water, sun, and relaxation of the day. Our taxi ride back home was another $30, FYI. I immediately wrote to the company about our mix-up with snorkeling, and they’ve offered to refund that price…it just hasn’t happened yet. SO, all in all, it was a great day. Make sure to note was IS and IS NOT included in your ticket, because there are many variations of the options.

William took great care...
William took great care of us! He set us up with nice chairs & a table in a little cabana. He made sure we got our drinks & a great lunch!

Terrible Tour and over priced
They charge for everything inside, the transportation back to the pier is not included, everything is over priced. When asked for a partial refund as I had to pay for our taxi back, the answer was, the tour operator did not approve? I did not book with the operator, instead I go trough Viator t avoid disappointment. Do not book this tour!!!

HORRIBLE! Never again. BEWARE!
We rented scooters from this place to tour the island. They try to rip you off on everything…. Extra charges for gas, unnecessary repairs, etc Cash only of course. Complete Scam! Worst experience ever! I wish I had read these reviews prior to booking with them, there are plenty of other great scooter rentals- not this one

Snorkel and Scoot 🛵
The best part was our tour guide, who didn’t even work that day, came to give us a private tour after we unfortunately arrived late. Alan, you’re the man! He knew all the spots, the locals, and watched our belongings while we snorkeled. The best snorkeling experience I’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend.

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
The Perfect Day in Chankanaab Park Cozumel: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.
How much does The Perfect Day in Chankanaab Park Cozumel cost?
+
Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The Perfect Day in Chankanaab Park Cozumel take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.
Is The Perfect Day in Chankanaab Park Cozumel worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The Perfect Day in Chankanaab Park Cozumel?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The Perfect Day in Chankanaab Park Cozumel suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The Perfect Day in Chankanaab Park Cozumel?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The Perfect Day in Chankanaab Park Cozumel start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cozumel?
+
On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cozumel?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cozumel?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
