What you get
About this experience
Historically, Salem isn't known for positive outcomes from chatter, but that's just because there's never been a mouth like Lucinda Lipol's to do the job! While in The Witch City, suppress the urge to buy a tour peddling in shudders and gasps. You can just stay home and turn on Fox News for that. Instead, try having an hour of laughs with Lucinda as she wickedly pokes apart the history of Salem and leaves you wondering if the town will put her to the stake before your next visit. Some say she already has quite the flaming nature. Please understand that due to Lucinda's radically limber mouth, this tour is for ADULTS ONLY and proof of age is required.

Absolute BEST TOUR - Lucinda Lipol
Absolutely the BEST historical tour of Salem! My mom and I were visiting for a girls trip and wanted to experience Salem in a unique way. If you want the honest truth of the history behind Salem and Massachusetts, without all the PC crap in history books, Lucinda is the guide! She provided a creative, funny, intelligent, and insightful look at how Salem was shaped before, during, and after the witch trials thru you the revolution. She really knows her stuff! If you want a really fun way to learn history, Lucinda is the ONLY and BEST way! I'd give 100000 stars if I could! Highly (stratosphere high) recommend!

So fun!
Lucinda's your was so fun! I am a lifelong North Shore resident so this was the first tour I ever taken on Salem, but I actually learned quite a bit and Lucinda was so funny. Highly recommend!

Kooky with a dash of spooky.
An absolute hoot and riot of a time. I've been on several tours of Salem, but Lucindas did something none of the others dared to do, give you more than just Witchcraft. Blending local history and flipping the narrative on its head was a great way to seperate from the bulk of Salem tours. Don't get me wrong, if you are looking for witchy its still included, but you are getting really good information along with Lucinda's humor and engaging wit. I spent the rest of the day cracking jokes with my partner over the tour. A great memory and a fantastic tour.

Lucinda is the best. Full of facts, humor, wit, and accuracy. We went to a Provincetown tour. But she is in Salem and I heard it is the best! No matter where you find her, she is the best tour ever!!!

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
The Lucinda Lipol Tour of Salem: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Salem.
How much does The Lucinda Lipol Tour of Salem cost?
+
Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Salem usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The Lucinda Lipol Tour of Salem take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Salem is not rushed.
Is The Lucinda Lipol Tour of Salem worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 44 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Salem, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The Lucinda Lipol Tour of Salem?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The Lucinda Lipol Tour of Salem suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The Lucinda Lipol Tour of Salem?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Salem can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Salem and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The Lucinda Lipol Tour of Salem start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Salem within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Salem?
+
Salem runs witch trial history tours, ghost and cemetery walks, museum entries and harbour trips, with October turning the whole town into a month-long event. On Outty we rank every Salem experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include History and Hauntings of Salem Guided Walking Tour, Satanic Salem Walking Tour, Salem Voodoo, Vampires, and Ghosts Guided Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Salem?
+
September to October for atmosphere, May to June for smaller crowds. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Salem?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
