Excellent day trip from Paris to the rich history of Normandy and Bretagne
We had a lovely time visiting Mont St Michel, Cancale and St-Malo with our friendly and insightful crew, our guide Jacques, and drivers Antonio and Ishem. Our tour was in French. We learned a lot at each site and on the way, enjoyed a nice lunch at Cancale, comfortable car rides, and also experienced riding the TGV! Overall, strongly recommend this tour and an advice to plan for changing weather in this beautiful part of France!
Response from the operator: thank you for nic words and I'll inform the drivers and the guide

Magic.
The place is still magical The only downside: the maintenance of the premises Rubbish bins in full view of tourists at the back of the restaurant. We took a break in a restaurant with a view of the sea but in a more than doubtful condition. A huge water leak coming from the toilet: I can't tell you the smell: we walked in it I will come back for the view and the beauty of the place The sign in front of the mountain is ugly
Response from the operator: cette excursion n'était pas avec notre compagnie

Amazing place!
Our tour overall was excellent. Mont Saint Michel is stunningly beautiful and amazing to see. Our tour guide, Mathieu, who picked us up in Rennes from the train and was our guide throughout Mont Saint Michel, was excellent. He was very professional, patient, and friendly. The train ride was scenic, efficient, and fast. Just a few complaints about the tour company: Our driver in Paris did not pick us up from the hotel. We ended up having to get a taxi and had to rush and race to get to the train on time which made the start of the trip stressful. This is a crucial part of the trip so either the tour company should make SURE the ride will be there, or lower the price a bit and have the tour begin at the train station (people find their own way to train station). Also, the instructions we were given said there would be coffee and snacks available on the train which wasn't true. So we were starving by the time we got to Rennes. These were the only complaints, but that is something that needs to be addressed for future tours. Otherwise, it was an excellent tour and totally worth it.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review. We apologize for the missing pickup in the morning. I'll pass your review to Mathieu.

TGV Train to Mont St. Michel from Paris
We reserved seats in advance, and boarded the TGV at Gare Montparnasse in Paris; rode to Rennes; then boarded the bus to the visitors' center near MSM; then the shuttle to the causeway near the island. We had to ask a train station employee in Rennes for directions to the MSM bus, which was just outside the train station. Otherwise, it was a smooth trip. Cost was reasonable - about $80 per person each way. I recommend this way to travel from Paris to MSM.

I’ll give the pluses and minuses: Plus: Great meal at Carcale but no time there to explore though Quaint town of St Malo with great views Fast train to and from Ok views from abbey in Mont St michel Minuses: The view and abbey in Mont St Michel not worth the climb The driver/guide although very friendly drove too fast Would like to see some more of Cancale Overall too expensive
Response from the operator: thank you for your review and to have pointed the minus and the plus. Your opinion is important for us in order to improve ourselves. we hope that you have enjoyed overall of the day despite the few disapointements you have mentionned

The legendary Mont-St-Michel including Cancale & St-Malo (TGV Train from Paris): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.
How much does The legendary Mont-St-Michel including Cancale & St-Malo (TGV Train from Paris) cost?
+
Prices start at $170 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The legendary Mont-St-Michel including Cancale & St-Malo (TGV Train from Paris) take?
+
Plan for about 14 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.
Is The legendary Mont-St-Michel including Cancale & St-Malo (TGV Train from Paris) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The legendary Mont-St-Michel including Cancale & St-Malo (TGV Train from Paris)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The legendary Mont-St-Michel including Cancale & St-Malo (TGV Train from Paris) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 14-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The legendary Mont-St-Michel including Cancale & St-Malo (TGV Train from Paris)?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 14-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The legendary Mont-St-Michel including Cancale & St-Malo (TGV Train from Paris) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Paris?
+
Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Paris?
+
April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Paris?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
