    Great experience

We had an amazing experience at the Welty House and Brickhouse Inn ghost hunt! Our guide (male) was fantastic and had such a vast knowledge of both paranormal investigating and the history of the property. You could really tell how passionate and experienced they were. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and the fact that we were able to lead our own investigation while having our guide there to help and answer questions when needed. It made the experience feel much more personal and gave us the freedom to explore at our own pace. The environment was welcoming, comfortable, and perfect for a paranormal investigation. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the Welty House and Brickhouse Inn to anyone interested in history, paranormal investigating, or just looking for a unique experience in Gettysburg! 👻🏚️

    Welty house ghost tour

The tour guide was great however I felt that the ad is misleading and the only part of the house you actually go in is the basement. They have chairs where you can sit and the tour guide lets you know in a short form how to use the EMFs and a few other equipment pieces. You could sit by a haunted house and tell stories by a campfire. It’s not worth the cost of $147.00 for three people! If you want a better experience then I would say do a ghost walking tour and get more information!

    10 outta 10!

Our guide was very nice and super knowledgeable about the history in Gettysburg. He spoke in a way that my 14yr old daughter and her friend, were very captivated! It was also, a next level experience to use all of the equipment!!

Welty House Ghost Hunt with Kevin

What a great time! Our guide Kevin was excellent! Knowledgeable and extremely entertaining. Well versed in the history and supernatural aspects of not only the Welty House but Gettysburg as well. When you go ask for Kevin as your guide.

The Historic Welty House Ghost Hunt with Equipment: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Gettysburg.

How much does The Historic Welty House Ghost Hunt with Equipment cost?

    +

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Gettysburg usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does The Historic Welty House Ghost Hunt with Equipment take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Gettysburg is not rushed.

Is The Historic Welty House Ghost Hunt with Equipment worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 118 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Gettysburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule The Historic Welty House Ghost Hunt with Equipment?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is The Historic Welty House Ghost Hunt with Equipment suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book The Historic Welty House Ghost Hunt with Equipment?

    +

Around 41 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Gettysburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Gettysburg and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does The Historic Welty House Ghost Hunt with Equipment start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Gettysburg within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Gettysburg?

    +

Gettysburg is a guide town: licensed battlefield guides in your own car, bus and horseback battlefield tours, ghost lantern walks and museum entries covering the three-day battle. On Outty we rank every Gettysburg experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 2-Hour Gettysburg Battlefield Guided History Bus Tour with a National Park Guide, Spirits of Jennie Wade Ghost Night Tour in Gettysburg, Echoes of War All Ages Ghost Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Gettysburg?

    +

April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Gettysburg?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
