What you get
About this experience
We are the only ghost tour in the area that tells you the truth. All of the comments about hauntings are researched from books, news media, or first-hand experience. We can tell you what the ghost does, and how they died. If you are looking for an environmentally scary tour, you should book at night. We have 2 main locations that are quite creepy at night. One location is off-limits to 99% of people in the area. And we have a third cemetery for one the main cemetery is closed, or for people who want to go a full 3 hours. As for the "and more"; we will customize the information we give you and even the walking path if you have something special that you want to see. It's all about you. We could talk about history, art, or food instead. Keep in mind that this is a 2-hour walking tour. The walk back by itself can put up 30 minutes over the stop time (2.5 hours). It is between 6-7 miles in total on most tours. We are happy to take breaks for you to get water, etc.

What you'll see and do
Both history lovers and ghost lovers will enjoy this stop. The Westin Poinsett is like a time capsule from the 1920s. Classic carpets, sweeping columns, and beautiful motifs dot the hotel. The building itself has a rich history of natural passings, ghosts that can't let go of the building they love, and ghosts of bootleggers in the basement area.

Falls Park on the Reedy
Falls Park is one of the top parks in the entire country. Both the nearby Reedy River and the waterfall itself hide creepy secrets. With a rich history, it would be strange if there weren't ghosts in the area. Some of the hotels on the waterfront, and older mill buildings in the area, also contain haunted pasts. There is a truly a wealth of haunted info in this area.
Pass by without stopping
Springwood Cemetery
Ghost lovers will greatly enjoy the spooky sights of Springwood. From apparitons of confederate soldiers, to ghostly orbs and sounds, it's all here. It also contains a wealth of Greenville history, with the original area set up in 1812. We love ghosts a much as you do, and have dozens of legends for you throughout the area. Keep in mind that this cemetery is unavailable on Halloween Night, as the city of Greenville closes and has guards stationed. You should book earlier in the day if you want to visit this attraction on that night.
30 minutes here
The Greenville Summit is probably the most haunted building in Greenville. Starting as the Imperial Hotel in 1912, it eventually became a retirement complex in the 1980s. Large numbers of natural deaths have led to an extremely haunted reputation for the building. According to travel nurses we've spoken with, it is the scariest building they've ever worked in. We want to save the exact nature of the haunts for the tour. We also don't go very far into this building, as it is still active as a senior living complex.
Pass by without stopping
Rocket Fizz is a great store, and falls under the "And More" of the tour. It has over 200 different candies and soda. More than that though, it has a haunted history and is flanked by other buildings with ghostly happenings. In the early 1900s, the road behind it actually contained the main tombstone manufacturer in the area. This sweet store is flanked by the paranormal on all sides.

Greenville ghost tour
As far as tours, this was by far #1. The weather was questionable so the guide took us around in his car. The history and ghost information was top notch. You could tell the guide was well educated and knew his information.

Highly recommend
We had a great tour, it was just us so had a more personal tour and Walter was great showing us around and the history and stories he told was fascinating. I recommend this tour.
Response from the operator: It's always better to have a smaller rather than larger tour, for the guests, and I'm glad that I could give it to you. Thank you for finding everything fascinating and I hope to see you again someday .

Ghost tour Greenville
We went on a 2 hour walking ghost tour with our guide Walter. He was so informative on the history and stories about Greenville. My daughter loved using the paranormal equipment. He was extremely accommodating to our family. Would highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank you for everything, I'm glad that your daughter enjoyed it so much. It's always great to have someone on the tour who really loves ghost hunting as much as I do. I'm also glad that she got to use real equipment for the first time, and I hope to see you again someday.

4th of July Ghost Interaction
My sister and I did the 2 hour ghost walking tour on 4th of July. We selected the 9pm one due to heat. It was a 10/10 experience! Highly reccomend. We got a mixture of ghost, history and art. I've been to several ghost tours in Charleston and New Orleans, but this is the first tour where we've done interactive activities. We got to use the thermal imaging camera, emf detector and spirit box. Amazingly we had several instances in the cemetery with unexplained activity. Even if there was none, Walter did a great job keeping us engaged during the walk. If conducting the tour during the summer, make sure to bring extra water. My sister and I will definitely be back for another tour soon. AW 7/4/26 Ghost Tour
Response from the operator: Thanks so much, I couldn't really ask for a better overview of this tour. You really hit every single point. Sorry that it was so hot, but I'm glad that you enjoyed everything anyway. Yes, this was one of the only tours where we've had a lot of activity on, even I was surprised at the amount of interaction we received from the spirits. We really talked about a lot more than just the tour, and it was fun finding out about the two of you. Thank you so much for already saying that you'd love to come see me again, I'd love to see you again someday as well.

The Greenville Ghost Hunt 2 Hour Walking Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Greenville.
How much does The Greenville Ghost Hunt 2 Hour Walking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Greenville usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The Greenville Ghost Hunt 2 Hour Walking Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Greenville is not rushed.
Is The Greenville Ghost Hunt 2 Hour Walking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Greenville, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The Greenville Ghost Hunt 2 Hour Walking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The Greenville Ghost Hunt 2 Hour Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The Greenville Ghost Hunt 2 Hour Walking Tour?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Greenville can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Greenville and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The Greenville Ghost Hunt 2 Hour Walking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Greenville within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Greenville?
+
Greenville, SC packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Greenville by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Greenville experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The 1-Hour Greenville History and More Walking Tour, Greenville City Segway Tour, Pedego Electric Bike Tour at Greenville. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Greenville?
+
Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Greenville, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Greenville?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
