    Incredible India cuisine

Quite an eye-opening experience. Walking around Old deli for sure however. Sonali made it very easy. We never could have done any of that on our own. She was awesome. So informative. Friendly. Cheerful. Really of sweet down to earth woman who catered to our needs was always looking out for our safety and truly wanted to know how much we enjoyed the Indian cuisine. We recommended her to our friend Troy and he took the same tour with her a week after we did. He loved it also 🥰

Response from the operator: We sincerely appreciate your glowing review and glad that we could make your experience enjoyable and memorable. We hope your travels bring you back to us again!

Authentic Old Delhi safe, fun, interesting and DELICIOUS!

We had an amazing time on our tour with Parul. From beginning to end, she far exceeded our expectations. She was patient when we were running behind and helped us find an alternative meeting spot. The tour itself is way more that a food tour. Parul, as a Delhi local, shared so much about Delihi culture, history and of course food. Every one of her stops/food items were thoughtfully chosen and delicious. The Tuk Tuk ride was a bonus. We would have never been able to explore old Delhi in the same way and felt so safe and comfortable in her hands. This was truly one of the best tours I have ever taken and a highlight of our trip to India. Parul and the company have created a genuine, intentional and fascinating tour. Well done!

Response from the operator: It was wonderful hosting you in Delhi. Thank you for being part of our journey and allowing us to be part of yours. We look forward to welcoming you back for another unforgettable experience.

Fantastic Food Tour of Old Delhi!

We had an amazing experience trying a variety of foods in Old Delhi. Sonali was a fantastic guide who paired her extensive knowledge of the area and stops with great conversation! She helped us navigate the markets with ease and led a great tour! The tour was very well paced with over a dozen different foods! The tour had both sweet and savory items and provided plenty at each stop. Would highly recommend spending a few hours to experience the tastes of Old Delhi!

Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing The Lost Compass! We’re so happy that your experience exceeded your expectations. Your encouragement inspires us to keep delivering memorable tours every day.

    Best way to experience Delhi

Fantastic Old Delhi food tour with an incredible amount of food, history and cultural insight. Having a local guide made such a difference—we were able to wander through streets and areas I would never have discovered or felt confident exploring on my own, while always feeling completely safe. Everything was taken care of from start to finish, and there was plenty of delicious food along the way. A great way to experience Old Delhi beyond the usual tourist sights.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re grateful for your trust in The Lost Compass and can’t wait to create more memorable experiences together.

The Great Indian Food Tour in Old Delhi Food and Heritage tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.

How much does The Great Indian Food Tour in Old Delhi Food and Heritage tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $43 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does The Great Indian Food Tour in Old Delhi Food and Heritage tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.

Is The Great Indian Food Tour in Old Delhi Food and Heritage tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 1,968 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule The Great Indian Food Tour in Old Delhi Food and Heritage tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is The Great Indian Food Tour in Old Delhi Food and Heritage tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book The Great Indian Food Tour in Old Delhi Food and Heritage tour?

    +

Around 689 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does The Great Indian Food Tour in Old Delhi Food and Heritage tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New Delhi?

    +

On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New Delhi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New Delhi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
