    Excellent Tour !

Our tour of the South of France was the highlight of our trip! Our guide,Alex was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made every stop come alive with fascinating stories and local insights. The day was perfectly organized, stress-free, and filled with breathtaking scenery and hidden gems we would never have discovered on our own. I casually mentioned how I wanted to see lavender fields and he found a hidden field which was beautiful and not known to tourists. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting an authentic and memorable South of France experience!

    Awesome tour!

Alex led us on a wonderful tour. He has tremendous experience and background information. We visited multiple locations that are only known to the locals.

    Amazing Tour!

Alex is a fantatic guide. He picked us up in the morning and took us to all of the coolest spots. He really knows his stuff. He is funny and put us at ease immediately. He gave us a fantastic recommendation for lunch. The spot was lovely. We saw so many places and were able to do a bit of shopping. Some of our best photos came from this tour. It was great!

Like seeing Riviera with a Friend

Fantastic day with Alex. Agree with other reviewers that he approaches the day like a friend eager to share the best of everything , while respecting your goals . He is savvy, knowing the history but perhaps more importantly how to navigate traffic , parking, timing to maximize the time you spend seeing and experiencing the magic of the Riviera . Eze was a highlight along with Saint Paul de Vence . We felt compelled to click the boxes for the sites in Monte-Carlo , which Alex facilitated well - but if you’ve been before , would skip and spend the time in smaller towns . I had concerns about narrow roads leading into Monaco , but with Alex’s comfortable car and steady driving - not a problem . Would book 2 days with him next time in the area.

Unforgettable Family Tour of the French Riviera with Alex!

We had an incredible day exploring the French Riviera with Alex as our guide. I traveled with my husband and our two young kids (ages 6 and 8), and Alex went above and beyond to make the experience fun, flexible, and memorable for all of us. I initially told him we just wanted to see the highlights of the region and Monaco—but as he got to know our family, he quickly tailored the day to match our interests. When he learned that our 6-year-old is obsessed with fish, Alex suggested a stop at the Oceanographic Museum in Monaco. I had no idea it even existed, and it ended up being the absolute highlight of our son’s entire Europe trip! Alex is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and clearly passionate about what he does. His love for the area and genuine care for his guests made the day truly special. We would recommend him to anyone—families, couples, or solo travelers. A five-star experience from start to finish!

The French Riviera: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nice.

How much does The French Riviera cost?

    +

Prices start at $946 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does The French Riviera take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nice is not rushed.

Is The French Riviera worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 44 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule The French Riviera?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is The French Riviera suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book The French Riviera?

    +

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nice and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does The French Riviera start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Nice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include ★ Walking Tour of Old Nice and Castle Hill, NO DIET CLUB - Unique Local Food in Nice !, Nice City Segway Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
