Get Away From The Beach For A Day

Early start ( 04:00 ) from Nungwi to meeting point at airport for 06:00. Drinks and snacks available for purchase. Short 40 - 50 minute flight. As it's a large National park and nature is unpredictable I went with the possibility in mind that I might not see much wildlife. Within 20 minutes of leaving the airstrip we spotted our first of several groups of Elephants. We also encountered lone Elephants at various places during the day. We saw many different types of Antelope as well as Baboons, Hippo, Crocs, African Wild Dogs, Zebra, Warthogs, Wildebeest, Lions, Giraffes and more. There were also many different species of birds including several types of Eagle. The guide, Shadrach and driver who's name I'm sorry to say I can't remember ( it began with A ) were fantastic and always managed to get into a position for the best photo ops. They keep in contact with other vehicles so they can share info on the whereabouts of certain animals to increase the chances of spotting them. They did say that we had been lucky to see as many Elephants as we did. We had a morning stop for coffee by a lake and a stop for a light lunch at an area with seating and toilet facilities. I've had back issues in the past and the terrain varies from bumpy rutted tracks to smooth open grassland but the seating was reasonably comfortable and I didn't have a problem. The expansiveness and variety of the scenery alone is interesting enough for the periods when the wildlife is being elusive. My return flight was around 18:00 so it was a long day but well worth it in my opinion. Don't forget to take your passport and insurance cert. with you for checking on your return to Zanzibar. Best safari and tour guide

Book this safari! We were staying in Zanzibar and wanted to do a safari. The company were so helpful with whatsapp/emails back and forth answering all my questions, and I had a lot! Transfers from our hotel and flights all sorted with no trouble. Fast forward to the day and oh my god, our guide Deo met us at the airport with the jeep and off we went! He was the most friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable guide ive ever come across. His English was amazing and he tried his hardest to find me elephants which he managed to right before the end of the day! We saw so many great things and he educated us so much, felt like driving around with a really good friend all day. Lunch time was a lovely hot meal in the middle of the national park, an experience we will never forget. Thank you so much guys. If you have any doubts what safari to choose (as there are a few and I was worried about scams) I can absolutely hand on heart recommend this company.

A Safari I will Never Forget - Magical!

When I say this safari was amazing, even that doesn’t begin to capture what I experienced. Traveling solo can be daunting, but this tour company made every ounce of worry disappear with how thorough, patient, and organized they were. Even when I misread the information and woke up late, they never once made me feel rushed or stressed. Instead, they patiently called to make sure I was awake and ready — something I’m incredibly grateful for, because this was my birthday gift to myself, and I would’ve been devastated to miss it. They picked me up right on time, got me to the airport as quickly as possible, had my tickets prepared, and handled everything with impressive efficiency. The flight to the mainland was its own little adventure — the pilot and attendants were friendly, the views were beautiful, and the entire experience felt special before the safari even began. Once we arrived, our guide greeted us with kindness and professionalism. He was knowledgeable, personable, and truly committed to giving us the best possible experience. I sat in the front seat, and it felt like having the best view in the entire park. As we drove through the reserve, I was nearly brought to tears. Seeing these animals in their natural environment — close enough to reach out and almost touch — was breathtaking. I’ll never forget the moment I found myself face-to-face with a matriarch elephant, no more than 10 feet away, on my birthday. Elephants are my favorite animal in the world, and that moment felt like a personal blessing. We saw everything you could imagine — lions, zebras, buffalo, giraffes, warthogs (Pumba himself!), and so many more. Our guide didn’t stop searching until he was confident we had seen every animal possible before our return flight. His passion and dedication made the entire day unforgettable. Lunch was a pleasant surprise — a delicious buffet with options for everyone. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the scenery made it even better. At one point, a baboon came through checking people’s bags, which had everyone laughing and grabbing their cameras. It was such a fun, unexpected moment. This experience was magical from start to finish. I truly cannot put into words how grateful I am that I chose this tour group. When I return to Tanzania — and I absolutely will — I’ll be booking with them again without hesitation. A once-in-a-lifetime experience that I’ll cherish forever.

Safari - 1 day

From start to finish this was the best experience. Prompt taxi to the airport. Simple transfer to our plane. Enjoyable flight to the park. What a treat was in store for us. We saw impala, warthogs, baboons, hyenas, hippos, giraffes and a magnificent elephant. Well worth the price paid and the local information provided by the driver. Such special memories.
