    Know Before You Go

There are a lot of things I wish I had known going in here that I think would make the 2nd trip more enjoyable. I didn't have a choice of location because it was an event for a friend's party. First of all, we did have one person in the group who actually has OCD and anxiety and she shouldn't have gone. They will force you to put a bag on your head - I feel like that's a potential trigger that should be specifically listed. They also have a ton of disclaimers that the staff might touch you but you can't touch them etc... There are NO jump scares and the 'touching' is just them leading you into another room. I literally couldn't focus or play the game because I have such a bad reaction to being touched (I push back) that I put my hands in my pockets and barely participated. We had a really large group of 9 and it was too many. I think it would have been better if there were less people yelling over each other. We were brand new to escape rooms so there was no planning about who would do what and it was complete chaos. As a new group, this was an awful choice already, but they told us at the end it's a 20% solve rate so even worse for us. Dispite all that, I thought the story line was fun and great for this time of year (October). There were creepy elements throughout but nothing was like, horrific or anything. It just created an awesome feeling of unease not terror. There were panic buttons that were easy to get to. The 'dying' sequence when we ran out of time of kind of funny if anything so don't worry if you don't make it. Looking back, I liked that it wasn't easy to solve. The clues were well hidden and involved multiple pieces for each step. The actor was the best part, she was so in character and added to giving you the creeps without being too much. And again, she didn't touch us or jump scare. The price was super reasonable and I LOVE that it's private for your group. You're not with strangers. Did I actually enjoy the trip, not this time. Was it the best way to get introduced to an escape room, heck no that was an awful choice for us. Do I wish they had different disclosures that lined up with the experience more, yeah. Would I go back with a smaller group and try the easier side (the study), yes absolutely.

"The Basement" Escape Room: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Las Vegas.

How much does "The Basement" Escape Room cost?

    +

Prices start at $48 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Las Vegas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does "The Basement" Escape Room take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Las Vegas is not rushed.

Is "The Basement" Escape Room worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Las Vegas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule "The Basement" Escape Room?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is "The Basement" Escape Room suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book "The Basement" Escape Room?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Las Vegas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Las Vegas and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does "The Basement" Escape Room start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Las Vegas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Las Vegas?

    +

Las Vegas sells two trips at once: the Strip after dark, and the red-rock desert that starts twenty minutes past the last casino. Helicopter runs to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam half-days and Red Rock Canyon drives all leave early, while show tickets, speakeasy crawls and high-roller dining fill the evening. Outty Ranking weighs operator reliability heavily here, because the gap between a well-run desert tour and a coach-and-queue version is enormous. On Outty we rank every Las Vegas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group: Valley of Fire Half Day Tour from Las Vegas, Small Group Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, 7 Magic Mountains VIP Tour, Grand Canyon West, Hoover Dam Stop, Breakfast, Lunch & Skywalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Las Vegas?

    +

October to April. Summer highs above 105F make midday outdoor tours punishing. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Las Vegas?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in "The Basement" Escape Room?

    +

Included: 45-minutes escape room experience with live performer. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Where is the meeting point for "The Basement" Escape Room?

    +

Guests can make use of our private parking area and then proceed to the front entrance and enter the lobby. Host will greet guests at reception desk. Hotel pickup is not included, so plan your own transport and arrive 15 minutes early.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for "The Basement" Escape Room?

    +

Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.

Is "The Basement" Escape Room wheelchair or stroller accessible?

    +

The operator notes: Wheelchair accessible; Transportation options are wheelchair accessible; All areas and surfaces are wheelchair accessible; and Not recommended for pregnant travelers. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.

What happens to "The Basement" Escape Room if the weather is bad?
