Had a great evening in the desert
Overall it was a great experience. Most of our time was spent traveling in a mini bus, but time at camp was really worth it. A couple highlights: - Riding on the camels. They seemed to be treated ok and it was neat to walk by all the local agriculture (mostly melons). This was not a very sandy area, but there were some dunes. It felt like we were in a huge flat crater. - Eating dinner with our guide in the big tent. He told us about several berber traditions and what it was like to go from a nomadic lifestyle to working in tourism. He included all the members of our group, speaking English or Spanish as needed. The food was very good, and I was glad to have several questions answered about moroccan cuisine, such as learning that "sheeba" is wormwood/absinthe, and it's what they put in the tea when it's cold outside. - Our tent was simple but very clean and spacious. Much nicer than I expected. Areas for improvement / things to keep in mind - When booking this trip we got a confirmation number and the name of the tour company, but it was a bit tricky to figure out who to call/email for them to pick you up (and we didn't speak French). Definitely work with someone at your riad/hostel to get in touch with this tour company so you don't need to worry about it. Evidently, even though you book months in advance, the details of where to pick you up are decided last minute. - The tours along the route to Zagora leave a lot to be desired. On the way there, they stopped at the place they filmed Gladiator and some Game of Thrones episodes, but the tour guide there was mediocre and you mostly just wander around, so bring a big hat and plenty of water. Also, you'll need to pay the guide 30 DH or, so have some small bills handy. On the way back, we mostly just stopped to use the restroom. - The restaurants along the way are pricey, for tourists. I was on vacation and didn't mind spending 120 DH a meal, but if you're on a budget, bringing your own snacks would be a good call. One final silver lining of the tour is it's in a group, so you get to meet interesting folks from around the world.

Desert Tour of Zagora
Challenging tour from the point of view of the route by car, but the camel at dawn and sunset and the evening in the field pays for everything. The escorts are all available and try to meet the various needs. The only flaw, if you can call it that, is the air conditioning in the car: insufficient.

Amazing 2 Days trip!
Trip to Zagora was really nice and from organisation side cannot say a bad word. We had nice guide who gave us some interesting information regarding to places we visited. There was a time mostly for a bit of everything - admire of some sights and take some photos. All in all we were happy from all the trip and we came back fully satisfied. We had no problem before the trip to contact with company to ask for some details or when we had some doubts. Straight away we booked next trip to Essaouira with a company which was nice also! Thank You very much for all the experience!

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
The amazing zagora desert tour 2 days 1 night: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does The amazing zagora desert tour 2 days 1 night cost?
+
Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The amazing zagora desert tour 2 days 1 night take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is The amazing zagora desert tour 2 days 1 night worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The amazing zagora desert tour 2 days 1 night?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The amazing zagora desert tour 2 days 1 night suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book The amazing zagora desert tour 2 days 1 night?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The amazing zagora desert tour 2 days 1 night start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Marrakech: 1 Day Tour-Best of Atlas Mountains and Three Valleys, Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Marrakech: Atlas Mountains, Ourika Valley, Waterfall + Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
