What you'll see and do
Machupicchu
Machu Picchu is an Inca city surrounded by temples, platforms and water channels, built on the top of a mountain. Its construction was built with large blocks of stone joined together, without the use of amalgam. It is considered a cultural heritage of humanity as it is recognized as an important political, religious and administrative center of the Inca period. In order to visit Machu Picchu, Inca Rail has three starting points: The San Pedro stations in Cusco, Poroy and Ollantaytambo from which you can board the train of your choice bound for the Machu Picchu Pueblo station. Likewise, it offers its Bimodal service which combines a trip in the exclusive bus, departing from Av. El Sol 843 to Ollantaytambo to board the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo. Available all year round. Between January and April it is suggested to leave with the Bimodal service because due to weather conditions it will not be possible to leave from the San Pedro and Poroy train stations.

Overpriced and Incompetent
Overpriced and incompetent. Problems at every step of the way, culminating in a 3 hour delay. Absolutely useless staff who were just blaming the competitor company for causing the delay and not taking any responsibility. Absolutely pathetic, would not go anywhere near them.

Such a wonderful experience with Inca Rail! ❤️
Hector and his partner in Carriage X were absolutely lovely, friendly, and professional. They took such good care of us throughout the whole journey and made us feel so comfortable and well looked after. Everyone we met in Peru was incredibly kind and welcoming. We honestly had such a happy experience and felt very respected and well treated from beginning to end. One of our favorite parts was the special welcome service before getting on the train. The local staff dressed in traditional Peruvian clothing, played music and instruments, and performed a beautiful traditional dance while welcoming and guiding us onto the train. It was such a lovely and thoughtful touch, and made the whole experience feel really special and memorable. 🥰 We’re so happy we chose Inca Rail for this trip. Thank you to Hector, his partner, and the whole team for making our journey such a wonderful experience 💕
Response from the operator: Dear 698huangj: Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt review. We are delighted that Hector, his colleague in Carriage X, and our entire team made you feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for throughout your journey. It is especially meaningful to know that the traditional music, dance, and warm welcome before boarding created such a memorable connection with Peruvian culture. We will gladly share your kind recognition with Hector and the team. Thank you for choosing Inca Rail to be part of this special experience. Kind regards, The Inca Rail Team

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
The 360 ° Machu Picchu Train by Inca Rail: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does The 360 ° Machu Picchu Train by Inca Rail cost?
+
Prices start at $309 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does The 360 ° Machu Picchu Train by Inca Rail take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is The 360 ° Machu Picchu Train by Inca Rail worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 304 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule The 360 ° Machu Picchu Train by Inca Rail?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is The 360 ° Machu Picchu Train by Inca Rail suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book The 360 ° Machu Picchu Train by Inca Rail?
+
Around 106 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does The 360 ° Machu Picchu Train by Inca Rail start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Full-Day Humantay Lake Trek (Meals Included), Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

Not included: Entrance ticket to Machu Picchu; Bus to and from Machu Picchu (Consettur); and Tour of the citadel of Machu Picchu. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
