Fantastic Evening Thai Cooking Class in Ao Nang with a Personal Touch
We had a wonderful experience at an evening (5 pm) Thai cooking class in Ao Nang at Sukhothai Cooking School. Due to fewer tourists in Thailand at the moment, we ended up being just two participants, which made the experience even more personal and enjoyable. Jantree, our teaching chef, contacted us well in advance to organize everything, which was greatly appreciated. She has an excellent eye for detail, from presentation to technique, and shared professional tips throughout the class. Her explanations were clear, hands-on, and always delivered with a warm smile. All the dishes we prepared were delicious, including some that were new to us. Our personal favorites were the Butterfly pea lime juice, Toong Tong and Panang curry. The kitchen was very well organized, with two assistants helping efficiently with preparation and cleaning, allowing us to fully focus on cooking. The semi-outdoor kitchen was comfortable and well protected, even in case of rain. Water bottles were provided, and additional drinks were available to purchase at the restaurant. The format of the class was perfect—we cooked each dish and then enjoyed eating it right away. Once we started to feel full, any remaining food was thoughtfully packed into takeaway boxes. The whole team was also happy to take great photos throughout the experience. At the end, Jantree provided each of us with a booklet containing all the recipes, and the class concluded with a personalized completion certificate, which was a lovely touch. Overall, we had a fantastic time—enjoying both the cooking and the food in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ao Nang.

Something different that's fun to do
Such a great experience. Several lovely courses to cook. You cook a course and then eat it. It was great fun too. Jan is absolutely lovely. Highly recommend.

Thai Cooking School in Aonang: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krabi.
How much does Thai Cooking School in Aonang cost?
+
Prices start at $56 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krabi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Thai Cooking School in Aonang take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krabi is not rushed.
Is Thai Cooking School in Aonang worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 56 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krabi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Thai Cooking School in Aonang?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Thai Cooking School in Aonang suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Thai Cooking School in Aonang?
+
Around 20 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krabi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krabi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Thai Cooking School in Aonang start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krabi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krabi?
+
On Outty we rank every Krabi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Phi Phi Islands Tour with Lunch from Krabi, Phi Phi Early Bird & 4 Islands - Day Tour by Speedboat From Krabi, Railay and 4-Island Sunset Speedboat Cruise with Night Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krabi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krabi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
