Cook up a storm at Jimmy’s Kitchen, Bangkok’s friendliest Thai cooking school! You'll be charmed by Jimmy. Instead of a hot and sweaty market tour, we teach you about the herbs you'll use 'in situ'. Choose your own dishes, no need to follow a set menu. Learn to make your own curry paste from scratch. Small groups too which means personal attention. Along with regular cooking classes, we offer vegetarian only, vegan only, family friendly and children only classes. If you like cooking or if you like Thai food, then our course is for you. You will learn how to create real Thai food and how to adjust the flavours, especially the level of spiciness, to suit your taste. Our classes are hands-on so you learn how to do everything yourself, you’re not just watching somebody else do it. The best part of it all is that you get to eat what you cook! If you're vegetarian or vegan, we also have you covered. Our course is a great way to enjoy an authentic cultural and culinary experience

Enjoyable
Enjoyed the experience. The only drawback was that the venue was extremely difficult to find. The taxi gave up and dropped us off without reaching the address. We then asked a tuk tuk driver for help and he also had a problem finding it. We arrived late and Snow White (the chef) seemed to understand the reason why.

Highly Recommended Cooking Class Bangkok
It was really worth it as Ms Jimmy made the class so fun and comfortable.. very clean space and good environment.. also the food taste good without any enhancers and flavouring…would like to join again if we travel to Bangkok👌🏽

Great little cooking class near the airport in a quiet residential area!
Lovely little cooking class with Jimmy! I was the only student so had great one-on-one time learning different things & tips about Thai cooking! Jimmy also has a small garden where she showed me the different herbs and vegetables that she grows. Would definitely recommend as an introduction to Thai cooking & techniques.

A must do Thai cooking class when in Bangkok.
A must do Thai cooking class when in Bangkok. Jimmy is very friendly and knowledgeable. We first enjoyed a garden tour, learning about the fresh herbs and spices. We then prepared, cooked and ate all the amazing dishes! We received take home recipes and lots of handy tips to cook Thai at home. Go hungry!
Response from the operator: Thanks for the lovely review. I hope you didn't leave hungry!!

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Thai Cooking Class: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.
How much does Thai Cooking Class cost?
+
Prices start at ฿1,000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Thai Cooking Class take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.
Is Thai Cooking Class worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Thai Cooking Class?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Thai Cooking Class suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Thai Cooking Class?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Thai Cooking Class start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bangkok?
+
On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bangkok?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bangkok?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Thai Cooking Class?
+
Included: All ingredients; Bottled water; Lunch; and Dinner. Not included: Alcoholic beverages. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Where is the meeting point for Thai Cooking Class?
+
You can get a taxi to us from exit 5 of Udom Suk BTS (skytrain) station but if you're not too confident, contact us and we can arrange to pick you up at a small extra cost. Hotel pickup is not included, so plan your own transport and arrive 15 minutes early.
What languages is Thai Cooking Class offered in?
+
It is offered in Thai, Japanese and English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Thai Cooking Class?
+
Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.
Is Thai Cooking Class wheelchair or stroller accessible?
+
The operator notes: Wheelchair accessible; and Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.
What happens to Thai Cooking Class if the weather is bad?
+
This experience depends on good weather. If it is canceled because of poor weather, you are offered a different date or a full refund.
What do travelers say about Thai Cooking Class?
+
Across 26 reviews averaging 5.0 out of 5, recurring themes include food and drink. The tastings and food stops are a highlight for most reviewers.
