Lekkhy & her team were amazing. While the market didn't match due to not many shops being open on a Monday, seeing a lot of the herbs & veggies used in Thai dishes and indeed what we were going to make was great. When it came to the dishes, Lekkhy was amazing. We all had same/similar dishes and she was able to not only guide us to what steps we need to take but also point out what else we needed to do. Moving to the cooking, it was amazing learning how to cook 4 dishes we wanted & not only learn how to make Mango & sticky rice, but also learn how to add natural colour from plants. I also looked at many cooking school options & I don't regret going to this school - it's well worth it!

Extremely disorganized experience.
I reached out before the scheduled class and never received a response, but still went to the meeting point on time because I did not want to risk being marked as a no-show. The instructions said to meet at “Exit 3” of the station, but the exits were not clearly labeled, so even finding the correct location was unnecessarily confusing. After waiting there with no host and no communication, I sent many messages and still received no response. Almost an hour later, the host finally replied and simply suggested rescheduling after my entire morning had already been wasted. I eventually received a refund (not directly from the host). The experience itself was completely unprofessional and poorly managed.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for your experience. This is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide. We understand how frustrating it must have been to arrive on time, face difficulty locating the meeting point, and not receive a timely response from our team. Please note that our usual meeting point is clearly set at BTS On Nut Exit 3 (upstairs), and our staff is normally there to welcome guests. In your case, there was a clear breakdown in communication, and we truly regret the inconvenience caused. We are reviewing this situation internally to ensure better coordination and faster response times moving forward. We’re glad that your refund was processed, but we genuinely regret that your experience did not reflect the quality we strive to deliver.

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Thai Cooking Class Bangkok: Choose 5 Dishes + Market Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.
How much does Thai Cooking Class Bangkok: Choose 5 Dishes + Market Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $1300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Thai Cooking Class Bangkok: Choose 5 Dishes + Market Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.
Is Thai Cooking Class Bangkok: Choose 5 Dishes + Market Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 297 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Thai Cooking Class Bangkok: Choose 5 Dishes + Market Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Thai Cooking Class Bangkok: Choose 5 Dishes + Market Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Thai Cooking Class Bangkok: Choose 5 Dishes + Market Tour?
+
Around 104 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Thai Cooking Class Bangkok: Choose 5 Dishes + Market Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bangkok?
+
On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bangkok?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bangkok?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
