Five fantastic days seeing Marocco with excellent private driver and guide
We have just returned from the most fantastic 5 day tour to Merzouga. We were getting a special tour designed specific for our needs with pickup at our hotel in the Atlas mountain and end of the tour in Essaouira. All communication with Said during the planing was very easy. On the tour we had Ismail as driver. Ismail is not only a very competent driver that makes even the longest drive pleased and relaxing. He is also a fantastic guide that know where to stop and what to see on the road. Ismail helped us understand Marocco and Maroccan lifestyle better and maybe most important he is such a pleasant company. It was a pleasure to spend 5 days in the car with Ismail.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We’re delighted to hear that your 5-day tour to Merzouga was such a fantastic experience and that the itinerary met your needs perfectly. Ismail will be very happy to know that his driving, guidance, and company made your journey so enjoyable and memorable. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you again in Morocco.

A great road trip through Morocco!
We are a family of 5, and we just completed a 4-day desert trip, and we do not regret it! The guide was great, helpful, and very knowledgeable, and we saw a lot of amazing and interesting things. The trip gave us a sense of how big and diverse Morocco is. We especially enjoyed the camel ride in the Sahara Desert and the overnight stay in the camp. Yes, there is a lot of time spent in the car, but on the other hand, it’s a unique opportunity to experience Morocco, with many interesting stops along the way, it’s definitely worth it! We highly recommend this tour! Thank you for an great experience!

Fabulous Desert Tour and More
I will start by saying I rarely write reviews, but I will make an exception for Morocco Desert Trips because they are exceptional. They have been, from beginning to end, kind, responsive, knowledgeable, flexible, and thorough. They have earned more than my 5 star review. They have earned my appreciation and respect. Said, who handled our itinerary and accommodations, and Kamal our wonderful guide and driver, are the absolute best Morocco has to offer. Said told me several times “we treat our customers like family” and it is absolutely true. Upon researching the various tours, we landed on Morocco Desert Trips 4 day desert tour. The company had good reviews and contacting Said, the representative, through WhatsApp was a breeze. I'm a Type A when it comes to trip planning and Said was patient enough to answer my dozens of queries, even during his time off for Ramadan. At our request, he arranged a stopover in Alnif for some fossil hunting with the amazing geologist Mohand Ihmadi. It was a highlight of our trip. If anyone else is interested in genuine fossils, we highly recommend spending time with Mr. Ihmadi in his Berber homeland of Alnif. You can reach him at ihmaditrilobitescenter@gmail.com. We were very pleased with all our accommodations. They were charming, spacious, air-conditioned, and clean. Most had pools. The proprietors and hotel staff were warm and welcoming. The food was healthy and plentiful, and we felt genuinely cherished as guests. For our overnight stay in the desert, we chose the luxury upgrade. Kamal, our driver, is/was exceptional. He shared with us his vast experiences of the people and sites of Morocco, amusing anecdotes from his many years of being a driver/guide, and examples from his personal life that were invaluable in helping us not only appreciate the country, but also the people. I honestly can’t imagine taking the trip with anyone else. We crossed vast distances and I always felt safe with him at the wheel. His lively spirit and enthusiasm never waned. We enjoyed all the destinations that came with the 4 day desert tour.......the souks, the kasbahs, the camel rides, peaceful sunset in the Sahara, and much more. We traversed the high and middle Atlas mountains and photographed Berbers and the Bedouins at work and at play. We learned so much about the history and geography of this ancient country and culture. https://moroccodeserttrips.com/

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Test of Morocco : 4 Days Merzouga private luxury Desert tour from Marrakech: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Test of Morocco : 4 Days Merzouga private luxury Desert tour from Marrakech cost?
+
Prices start at $670 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Test of Morocco : 4 Days Merzouga private luxury Desert tour from Marrakech take?
+
Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Test of Morocco : 4 Days Merzouga private luxury Desert tour from Marrakech worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Test of Morocco : 4 Days Merzouga private luxury Desert tour from Marrakech?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Test of Morocco : 4 Days Merzouga private luxury Desert tour from Marrakech suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Test of Morocco : 4 Days Merzouga private luxury Desert tour from Marrakech?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Test of Morocco : 4 Days Merzouga private luxury Desert tour from Marrakech start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Marrakech: 1 Day Tour-Best of Atlas Mountains and Three Valleys, Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Marrakech: Atlas Mountains, Ourika Valley, Waterfall + Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
