Excellent and Wonderful Tour!

Simply amazing. What started out as a potentially challenging tour to Xi’an with four elderly and two young kids turned out to be a great, memorable and wonderful visit to the beautiful city of Xi’an, in the hands of our excellent guide, Mr Jackie, and our friendly driver Mr Zhou. Not forgetting Lily, who was so accommodative and thoughtful in helping to plan the itinerary for the 5-day tour. Thank You so much! Despite arriving late Xi’an (almost midnight), we received a warm welcome from Mr Zhou which certainly helped the family to feel assured and comfortable for a great start. With a wheelchair and stroller along, it was almost going to be daunting especially when most of the places do not have flat, smooth paths. However, Jackie was ever so patient and thoughtful throughout the tours, and even went out of the way to help negotiate with the local site managements for a smoother passage for the elderly. Our parents are really grateful to him for that as two of them have mobility issues. With a twist from the usual guiding services, Jackie does not provide plain and dull explanation of the history and sites of Xi’an. Instead, he offered tons of animated illustrations and with comparison and examples in current context for much easier understanding, and with his deep knowledge of the history of China, interesting insights into the rich history and culture of the brilliant city. He is equally well versed in English and Mandarin, and that certainly helped a lot. We spent a lot of time on the road while travelling to various sites, but there was never a dull moment as Jackie would fill us up with interesting facts of China as well as funny jokes along the way, and our parents and kids had so much fun! Due to mobility issues, we were often running behind schedule but Jackie was super patient throughout and told us to relax and enjoy the tour, and that safety is always a priority. He also offered great flexibility in rearranging the itinerary to suit the best interest for the family, and doing this while ensuring we did not miss out anything at all. Amazingly, we reached the top of the West Peak of Huashan with the little ones under his careful watch and encouragement! To further credit, Jackie brought us to nice local restaurants for meals which are super affordable and value for money! Ever the tourist-style, we tend to order too much and luckily there is the super thoughtful Jackie to remind us! Last but not least, we are very grateful to have engaged Lily and her team for this private tour in Xi’an, and they thoroughly deserved full marks from us. It has certainly been our honour to meet Jackie, who has been impeccable throughout and in him, we did not just have a private guide – we found a true and wonderful friend who is like a family! Thank You very much! Jimmy

China Xi'an Tour with young & elderly

We contracted Lily Sun Private Tour for our first ever family vaction to Xi'an. Our family is very thankful to Lily and her team for the well planned, dedicated and thoughtful service. Driver Mr Zhou is very friendly and helpful. The business van is clean, cool and has lots water. Guide Jackie is very humourous and thoughtful. He took care of each and every one of our needs very well. Especially the trip to Mount Hua, for example, he gotten the elderly to take the tobanggan to skip the stairs up Mount Hua as the elderly really couldn't climb much. My parents are very grateful for that. My mother-in-law was very happy to have her picture taken at the tobanggan ride in Mount Hua. Special thanks to Jackie for making special arrangement for my 80 year old father to complete the Mount Hua hike. Very grateful. Jackie even gotten the kids surprises everyday to entertain them. He is very knowledgeable and filled us up with lots of Xi'an history. We requested to go early but in the end our kids are too tired and we started out late, our guide is flexible. We visited the Terracotta Warriors, Hanyangling Museum, Great Mosque, Muslim Street, Xi'an Museum, City Wall(East Gate), Bell & Drum Pagoda, Huashan (West Peak via cable Car), Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Guangzhong Folk Arts Musuem. We even visited Small Wild Goose Pagoda which was not on our list but its the second most beautiful place after Mount Hua in my view. We enjoyed ourselves very much in this Xi'an visit. It's beautiful, amazing sights and a fruitful trip. Thank you Lily, Jackie(guide) and Mr Zhou(driver). Million thanks! Regards, Fong

Excellent Xi’an and Luoyang Trip organized by Lily’s Private Tour

Our group come to know Lily’s Private Tour is recommended by friend who had joined Lily’s Private Tour in 2017. With their planning and arrangement, we are having 7D6N great time in Xi’an and Luoyang. We met with Jackie, our tour guide in Xi’an. We visited Trrracotta Warriors, Hangyanglimg Museum, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Qianling Mausoleum, Mt. Hua and etc... Jackie was very knowledgeable, informative, and extremely fun. He has provided us with a very detailed overview and history of dynasty chat we had visited in Xi’an city. He is very kind and professionalisms person and also introduce some very good local food to us especially “Biang-Biang Mian” and “Rou-Jia Mo”. On our trip to Luoyang, we took the bullet train and were met by Michelle, our tour guide in Luoyang. We visited Longmen Grottes, Shaolin Temple, Lijing Gate, Mt. Songshan and etc...Michelle briefed us a lot of history, told us stories and happenings of the sites we visited. Overall we are very satisfied with the two knowledgeable guides as well as provided with spacious and comfortable MPV with an excellent and safety conscious driver (Mr. Wei in Luoyang and Mr. Liu in Xi’an). They made us feel comfortable. Terracotta Army&Big Wild Goose Pagoda Private Day Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Xian.

How much does Terracotta Army&Big Wild Goose Pagoda Private Day Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Xian usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Terracotta Army&Big Wild Goose Pagoda Private Day Tour take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Xian is not rushed.

Is Terracotta Army&Big Wild Goose Pagoda Private Day Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Xian, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Terracotta Army&Big Wild Goose Pagoda Private Day Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Terracotta Army&Big Wild Goose Pagoda Private Day Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Terracotta Army&Big Wild Goose Pagoda Private Day Tour?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Xian can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Xian and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Terracotta Army&Big Wild Goose Pagoda Private Day Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Xian within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Xian?

+

On Outty we rank every Xian experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-Inclusive Terracotta Army Tour with Premium Buffet Lunch, Mini Group Xian Day Tour to Terracotta Army, City Wall, Pagoda and Muslim Bazaar, Xi'an: Exclusive Terracotta Army Tour & Local Family Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Xian?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Xian?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
