Cervando is the best!
I had to google to find the tour that we took because someone else booked it other than myself. We took a private tour a couple weeks ago with Cervando and it was awesome! I have to admit that before we went I was somewhat nervous to be traveling outside of the resort for safety reasons that may or may not exist. But I can tell you that not once during our tour that I didn’t feel safe. As soon as I met Cervando, all my anxiety left because he was such a nice person from the very start. He was very knowledgable and very helpful. He provided us with snacks and drinks for our long road tour. We talked the whole drive to Tequila. Our first stop was at Ixtlan for a brunch. I am familiar with Ixtlan because I have a book by Carlos Castenada titled Journey to Ixtlan so that was special for me. Right outside of Tequila, we stopped at an agave field to get some obsidian and the agave farmer rode up to us on his horse and he was very friendly and let me sit on his horse for a photo op! Cervando took us to a local tequila distillery and for a trip around Tequila to sightsee. After that, he took us to a nice restaurant for our late afternoon meal and as we headed back to Puerto Vallarta, he stopped along the road for some agave photo ops as well in a lovely field of agave. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I know that everyone in our tour did as well. There were 4 of us total. We could not have asked for a better tour guide than Cervando. I want to say muchas gracias to him for such an amazing day with him!

For our small group this was perfect. We had a wonderful driver Yanni and guide Cervantes was terrific. Both were English fluent and very personable. They made sure we had a comfortable, safe day exploring the charming town of Tequila.

A terrific day in Tequila
Great tour! My husband and I have travelled extensively, we would like to say that our guide Cervando is one of the best guides we have ever had the pleasure of travelling with. He is extremely knowledgeable, polite and accommodating. Cervando is fluent in English which was very helpful as our Spanish is basic to say the least. We were a small group of four which provided a very personalized experience. Cervando provided a very roomy, air conditioned passenger van as well as a cooler containing soda, water and juices. I would highly recommend Cervando. I must include our driver Johnny (my apologies if the spelling is incorrect) in my review. He was very pleasant and helpful. I had complete trust in his ability to navigate the winding roads between Puerto Vallarta and Tequila.

Exceptional tourism experience in Puerto Vallarta
I could never rate Tequila Jalisco Full Day Tour from Puerto Vallarta with Cervando highly enough. The experience is more than mere tourism. Cervando is a proud Mexican who is passionate about his country, his state and its history. He is a guy I have so much respect for. A tour with Cervando is not only beautiful and scenic, but highly educational if you desire to learn. He has so many friendships all over Jalisco, that you make friends everywhere you go. Tequila in particular, and the region is beautiful and very much worth a visit. Cervando's English is excellent and he one of the most pleasant, professional people I've ever met. We have availed ourselves of Cervando's services on multiple occasions and consider him a friend of the family. Cervando will add another dimension to your trip to Puerto Vallarta.
Response from the operator: Adrian, thank you so much for your review on your tour to Tequila. I greatly appreciate it. It was my pleasure to spend the day in Tequila with you, Breanne and Austin. I look forward to seeing you all again to show you more of my country.

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tequila Jalisco Full Day Tour from Puerto Vallarta: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.
How much does Tequila Jalisco Full Day Tour from Puerto Vallarta cost?
+
Prices start at $6500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tequila Jalisco Full Day Tour from Puerto Vallarta take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.
Is Tequila Jalisco Full Day Tour from Puerto Vallarta worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tequila Jalisco Full Day Tour from Puerto Vallarta?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tequila Jalisco Full Day Tour from Puerto Vallarta suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tequila Jalisco Full Day Tour from Puerto Vallarta?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tequila Jalisco Full Day Tour from Puerto Vallarta start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Signature Taco Tour in PV with Vallarta Eats, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
