An absolutely...
An absolutely unforgettable experience from start to finish. Our guide went above and beyond to make this tour truly special. He picked us up early in the morning, right on time, and everything was perfectly organized. Watching the sunrise over Teotihuacán from a hot air balloon was magical — a once-in-a-lifetime moment that we will never forget. After the balloon ride, our guide gave us an incredibly informative and engaging tour of the pyramids. His knowledge of the history, culture, and details of Teotihuacán made the site come alive, and he explained everything in a clear, thoughtful, and interesting way. What really stood out was how attentive and passionate he was, making sure everyone felt comfortable, had their questions answered, and truly enjoyed the experience. This tour exceeded all expectations, and our guide was a huge part of what made it so amazing. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Mexico City — you won’t regret it.
Response from the operator: I loved being able to help you, show you a little bit of Teotihuacan and some of the city. I hope you're all doing well. Best regards.

Our balloon ride and...
Our balloon ride and private tour of the pyramids was magical! My husband and I celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary above the pyramids! Our driver, Jorge, picked us up right on time and explained everything we would be doing. Our Balloon ride and breakfast were superb! Our private tour of the pyramids at Teotihuacan with Jorge were incredible! Jorge answered every question and gave us lots of historical significance. We also loved the mezcal and tequila tastings! Hard to choose which was our favorite and we can’t wait to go back!

Amazing private tour
We had a fantastic experience. Sara was our guide and she did an amazing job from start to finish. She arranged for a driver who arrived at our hotel at 4:45 am, met with us at the hot air balloon depot, and then drove us to then archeological site. She was extremely well informed and answered every single question we had for her, which was a lot. She was able to navigate us around the crowds nicely so we could see the ruins without issue. Afterwards we went to the cutest tortilla shop and made tortillas and had lunch. Probably the best food we had and it was amazing to see them cook fresh food in front of us. Finally we went to an artisan shop and learnt more about obsidian and mezcal. At the end, Sara drove us back to our hotel and we spent the trip learning more about Mexican culture. It was extremely informative and we had a great time! I would highly recommend this company for the private experience. Absolutely worth it in my opinion.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're delighted to hear that Sara's energy, knowledge, and passion for Teotihuacan made your experience unforgettable. Thank you for recommending her, and we hope to host you again soon!

Best tour company by far!
We were picked up in a gorgeous Lincoln, stocked with cold drinks and extra plugs, and they were early for a 4:30 am pick up!! Nothing about the tour was not 5 stars. Our guide was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, did everything she could to please us, and went out of her way to make sure we were doing what we wanted in our private tour. Don’t look elsewhere, book w them and have them design whatever you want. I bet they will do it!

Teotihuacan Private Tour and Shared Hot Air Balloon Ride: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.
How much does Teotihuacan Private Tour and Shared Hot Air Balloon Ride cost?
+
Prices start at $5163 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Teotihuacan Private Tour and Shared Hot Air Balloon Ride take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.
Is Teotihuacan Private Tour and Shared Hot Air Balloon Ride worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Teotihuacan Private Tour and Shared Hot Air Balloon Ride?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Teotihuacan Private Tour and Shared Hot Air Balloon Ride suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Teotihuacan Private Tour and Shared Hot Air Balloon Ride?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Teotihuacan Private Tour and Shared Hot Air Balloon Ride start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mexico City?
+
On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Balloon Flight+Gruta brekfast+Teotihuacan Tour from Mexico City. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mexico City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mexico City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
