The Balloon Ride ended with a horrible crash landing. They had no medical assistance at the balloon sight or at the main office site... In fact, I was told they didn't even have an ice pack. No one asked about me... or checked in. I reported the issue, and I was told, 'Yes, we've reported it', and then she left the desk to go into the back. I contacted trip advisor and sent them the details. Trip Advisor reported back to me that everyone there spoke english, and everyone reported I was fine. No refund, no apology.., nothing.

Response from the operator: Dear Brian, We are sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with the way the situation was handled following your balloon landing. We take any concern involving the safety and well-being of our guests seriously, and after receiving your complaint, we reviewed what occurred with the balloon operator and the team involved in the rest of your experience. We would, however, like to provide some additional context, as the information reported to us by the staff present that day differs in some respects from the account in this review. The balloon operator confirmed that the landing was firmer than usual and that you reported discomfort in your leg afterward. According to the staff, you were attended to and indicated at that time that you were okay, although you requested ice for the affected area. We are sorry that the assistance provided at that moment did not make you feel adequately cared for. Following the balloon flight, you continued with the scheduled breakfast and subsequently participated in the guided walking tour of the Teotihuacan archaeological site. You also informed your guide about the discomfort in your leg, but you continued with the scheduled activities and did not request medical attention or ask to discontinue the tour. We mention this only to provide the complete context of the day, not to minimize the bruising or discomfort you experienced. Based on what was communicated to our staff at the time, together with your decision to continue with the itinerary, our team had no indication that emergency medical assistance was required. Regarding communication, the balloon operator does have English-speaking staff. Nevertheless, we recognize that during an unexpected situation it is especially important that a guest feels clearly understood and supported, and we have shared your comments with the operator. We also understand your disappointment regarding the lack of a refund. However, the flight and the subsequent services included in your reservation were provided and completed. Based on the circumstances reported to us, a full refund was therefore not considered applicable. That said, we sincerely regret that the post-landing attention did not meet your expectations. Your feedback has been taken seriously and has been shared with the balloon operator so that communication and post-landing assistance can be reviewed and improved. We appreciate the opportunity to provide the full context surrounding your experience.

Best day!

Such an amazing experience! They went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic day! The road closures in CDMX caused some delays, so they let us have a private balloon. Our guide was amazing and so was breakfast at the local restaurant!

Beautiful but dangerous

Very good! can be also dangerous! We had a bad landing due to wind and hurt our knees! Luckily no more sincere injuries! Need to have some first aid and baskets not to be overcrowded as we hit to each other while landing!

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us, and we’re truly sorry to hear about the rough landing and the discomfort you experienced. Safety is our top priority, and we take situations like this very seriously. We also appreciate your suggestions. Your feedback is valuable and helps us continue improving our safety measures and overall experience. If you’d like to share more details or if there’s anything we can assist you with, please feel free to reach out to us directly.

Balloon over pyramids

Wonderful to have a Birds Eye view of the pyramids. Very well organised experience, with lovely staff taking care of things. We opted for breakfast at the local restaurant which was part of our package. Very nice breakfast, the owner who also looked after us at the balloon depot gave us the history of the pyramids which was very informative

TEOTIHUACAN BALLOON RIDE (transportation & breakfast ): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.

How much does TEOTIHUACAN BALLOON RIDE (transportation & breakfast ) cost?

+

Prices start at $2700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does TEOTIHUACAN BALLOON RIDE (transportation & breakfast ) take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.

Is TEOTIHUACAN BALLOON RIDE (transportation & breakfast ) worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 70 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule TEOTIHUACAN BALLOON RIDE (transportation & breakfast )?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is TEOTIHUACAN BALLOON RIDE (transportation & breakfast ) suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book TEOTIHUACAN BALLOON RIDE (transportation & breakfast )?

+

Around 25 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does TEOTIHUACAN BALLOON RIDE (transportation & breakfast ) start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mexico City?

+

On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mexico City?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mexico City?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
