Very unlikely to swim with turtles - avoid.
Guide and staff were all friendly but the trip is a con: there are very few turtles - we saw one at a distance from the boat. Saw a few dolphins and a shark from the boat on the way there. There aren’t any where you snorkel - no flora, no coral: a few small fish but that is all. When I asked where all the turtles were, she just shrugged and said we were unlucky. The fact that she got super excited at seeing a sting ray briefly, was a bit telling. We then had to hang around in the same place to wait for the divers on the same boat. They always say after: ‘you can never guarantee …you were unlucky etc etc ‘ etc etc but they know your chances of swimming anywhere near turtles is slim at best.

Fabulous snorkelling experience
Amazing, wonderful experience from such a friendly experienced team. Instructor Elena looked after myself and daughter so well. Dolphins and a turtle made my day. Great value for money.....do it. Yes, we will try diving next time 😘xx

No swimming with turtles
People were lovely, but the title is very misleading. You will not be snorkelling with turtles. You’ll get to see some for 5 minutes and only snorkel with fish. The title should be “snorkelling with fishes with a possibility of seeing turtles”
Response from the operator: Hey, Thank you very much for your feedback and for your kind words about our team — we are happy to hear that you found them lovely. We are sorry if the title of the activity gave you different expectations. As we work with wild animals in their natural environment, turtle sightings can never be guaranteed. While we often see turtles during our trips, their presence always depends on natural conditions. We appreciate your suggestion and will take it into account to make our descriptions even clearer for future guests. Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we hope to welcome you again in the future.

Worth going on.
My daughter and I had an amazing experience on our snorkelling trip today with this centre. We saw turtles on the surface and many dolphins. The guides were very informative and respectful to the marine life. I would highly recommend

Amazing
I had an incredible experience snorkeling with Travel Sub The crew was friendly, professional, and made everyone feel safe and relaxed from the start. The snorkeling spot was breathtaking — crystal-clear water, lots of fish, and we were lucky enough to see aturtles up close, which was truly magical. The guides took the time to explain everything and pointed out marine life we might have missed on our own. The equipment was in great condition and the whole trip was well-organized I highly recommend Travel Sub if you want a fun, safe, and unforgettable snorkeling adventure.
Response from the operator: Wow, thank you for such a fantastic review! We’re so happy to hear that you had a memorable snorkeling experience with us and felt well taken care of by our team. Seeing turtles and colorful marine life is always magical, and we’re glad you could enjoy it with our guidance. It’s great to know that our explanations, equipment, and organization met your expectations. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we would love to see you again soon for more underwater adventures.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Tenerife Snorkeling Tour in turtle habitat: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does Tenerife Snorkeling Tour in turtle habitat cost?
+
Prices start at $53 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Tenerife Snorkeling Tour in turtle habitat take?
+
Plan for about 2.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is Tenerife Snorkeling Tour in turtle habitat worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 170 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Tenerife Snorkeling Tour in turtle habitat?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Tenerife Snorkeling Tour in turtle habitat suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Tenerife Snorkeling Tour in turtle habitat?
+
Around 59 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 2.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Tenerife Snorkeling Tour in turtle habitat start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
