About this experience
Our Telluride Jeep Tours explore a variety of remarkably beautiful, historical, and technical off-roading trails, including the famed Imogene Pass, as well as other notable routes like Ophir Pass and Last Dollar Road. These journeys are some of the most beloved and sought-after adventures in the Rocky Mountains, and the views and rich character from the road itself are enough to prove why. These passes comes with exposure on narrow ledges, technical switchbacks just as exposed, and rubbled sections that require high clearance and a skilled driver. Luckily, anyone can experience the awe inspiring views, abundant wildflowers, and high alpine wildlife on our Telluride Jeep tours. Our guides are highly experienced Jeepers as much as they are incredibly knowledgeable interpreters. They’ll take care of the driving while providing more insight into the wild history of this area than you’ll know what to do with.

Amazing Jeep Tour with Mild to Wild
Whitewater rafted with this company so decided to check out their jeep tour. It was beyond unbelievable. The open air jeeps so was not like more road time in our car, the knowledgeable and personable guide, the beautiful vistas, the mining history, as well as the flora and fauna shared, and the bear. So exciting. Mild to Wild really spoiled us. Thanks Miles.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed both the Jeep tour and whitewater rafting with us. Miles will be delighted to know his knowledge and enthusiasm made your experience unforgettable!

Breathtaking and a bit of adrenaline rush
This was truly an adventure of a lifetime Larry’s expertise as a driver as well as his wonderful guidance teaching us about the flowers, the scenery, the history even going as far as to get us fresh peaches. The people in the jeep with us were super fun loved sharing our life stories. It was a bit scary, especially if you have a faint heart for heights, but it was worth every second to see such beauty in nature and experience the thrill of such a ride. The ride can be pretty bumpy in certain areas, but your seatbelt really holds you in. Larry took us to a gas station on our way out of town to use the restrooms! The meet up spot was very easy to find. And it was free parking. It really took about four hours overall. The places Larry drove us up into the Alpine mountains were just incredibly beautiful. Highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank you, Heidi, for your glowing review! We're thrilled to hear that you had an unforgettable adventure on our Telluride Half Day Jeep Tour with Larry. His passion for sharing local knowledge and creating a fun atmosphere truly makes every ride special!

Our guide Jerry was very...
Our guide Jerry was very knowledgeable and accommodating but the jeep ride was much rougher than we expected. Also, be sure you can handle the altitude, the air is pretty thin at + 13,000 ft.!!!
Response from the operator: Dear Steve, thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're thrilled to hear that you found Jerry knowledgeable and accommodating—it’s great to know he helped make your tour memorable. We do understand that the jeep ride can be quite an adventure, especially with the rugged terrain at high altitudes. We will continue to highlight the physical nature of our tours in our materials to help future guests prepare. Thank you again for choosing Mild to Wild Rafting & Jeep Tours, and for your helpful feedback!

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Telluride Half Day Jeep Tours: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Telluride.
How much does Telluride Half Day Jeep Tours cost?
+
Prices start at $141 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Telluride usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Telluride Half Day Jeep Tours take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Telluride is not rushed.
Is Telluride Half Day Jeep Tours worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Telluride, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Telluride Half Day Jeep Tours?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Telluride Half Day Jeep Tours suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Telluride Half Day Jeep Tours?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Telluride can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Telluride and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Telluride Half Day Jeep Tours start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Telluride within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Telluride?
+
Telluride, CO packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Telluride by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Telluride experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Telluride Via Ferrata - Private Trip, Telluride 1 Day Rafting Trip with Lunch - San Miguel River, Telluride Morning Half Day Rafting Trip - San Miguel River. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Telluride?
+
Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Telluride, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Telluride?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
